HHI for Thanksgiving?

We are considering going back to HHI for Thanksgiving this year. We were there for the first time last week and had a great time. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the humidity. We'd like to try a cooler time of year but I am thinking that Thanksgiving may be too cool. Has anyone here been there at that time of year? I am also wondering how busy the island is during that week. I appreciate any information that anyone can give!

If you're thinking about Thanksgiving for this year, you may end up being waitlisted for at least part of your stay. A member I know tried booking 4 or 5 nights during Thanksgiving week and was only able to get Friday and Saturday nights confirmed; the others are waitlisted. (Not to say that the waitlist won't go through...)

We've been there several times for Thanksgiving and have loved it each time. One year the temperatures were in the 80s; last year the highs were around 50! But the resort is beautiful and there are fun Thanksgiving activities. Last year the resort was sold out through Saturday night and went down to under 10% occupancy on Sunday! I don't think the island itself is as busy as it is at other times of the year, but be prepared for some restaurants and stores to be closed for the off season.

We are going to HH for Thanksgiving for the first time this year.
My brother lives in GA so we are staying at HH for the long holiday weekend and are going to drive to his house for Thanksgiving dinner.

We are really looking forward to going. Its nice to hear that the resort has a lot of activities going on.

The only issue we are having now, is that Airfare is costing an Arm and a Leg.

Not only is the airfare expensive but from Massachusetts or Rhode Island there are no direct flights. We came back on Saturday and almost missed our connecting flight because the first flight ran late and we had to take a shuttle at the airport in Philadelphia. Good luck!
