HHI and VB in February

My husband and I are considering driving to HHI, staying over and then motoring on down to Vero for a few days. Our winter vacations are normally at the end of January, beginning of February. . .if you've visited VB or HHI during those times, what did you think? Did you love it or hate it? Did you fly down or drive?

We're not looking at swimming in the ocean or anything, but some nice sunny days walking along the beach would be nice. . . .

My husband and I went last February to VB and we liked it so much that we are going again this Feburary. The week we stayed there it was upper 70's and sunny. One day or two days of sprinkles, but not too bad. We did walk on the beach. A couple of days it was warm enough to go in the pool and the hot tub. We just loved our stay! Hope our luck keeps up though, because we were told just the week before we were there it was only up in the 50's!

We tend to vacation in Feb (Pres. Week) and now alternate WDW with VB. Coming from Western NY the weather feels great. It can be variable but with 40 degree average differential between home and VB we usually are happy campers. Even if it isn't quite as warm as we like the wonderful sunshine makes up for it. We do use the pool the whole time (it is heated) and will wade in the ocean and jump in and play in the waves for a little bit.

VB average high Feb 15th - 74 deg. F

It looks like you would have a 30 deg difference (used Philly as the city)...

Thanks, everyone. You sold me. We're going to try for a HHI/VB week in 2011. Hey, it's never to early to plan for DVC now, is it?
