HHI @ 7 Months June '08

I haven't posted in so long, but I had to share the good news! I decided to try for HHI at the 7 mo window for June, 2008. I called as soon as MS opened each day & had no problem booking a 2 BR for June 23-28. We are sooooo excited b/c we just took our first trip to HHI over Spring Break & loved it but decided we wanted to go when it will be warmer so that we can enjoy the water more.

Just wanted to share that with a little planning & pixie dust, it seems you can get places at popular times 7 months out.

Glad to hear your news! There is another thread where those of us who are going between the 15th of June and the end of June are posting about our success, or lack of in getting our villas or waitlist. Feel free to post over there and cheer us on and maybe make some friends for your trip! Congrats on getting your days!

Congrats!!! We are arriving on the 22nd of June! There seem to be plenty of Disboard folks who will be at HHI during that week!

I have plans in the works to book the end of August /09.
Can you tell me what you liked about it?
We will be driving down from the Toronto area, with a few planned stops along the way.
Also, do you think we'll get something for the last week of August at the 7th month window?

I think you have a good chance for the last week of August if you book day by day. Alot of schools in the Southeast are in session by then. Good luck!

I would think the last week in August would be fairly easy to reserve right at the 7 month window. Not only are many schools in the southeast already in session but here in the mid-atlantic area many schools start that last week in August now.

We went in August of this past year and had a blast! Now it was hot, hot, hot with temps over 100. However the ocean water was around 84 degrees!!! We were in either the ocean or a pool almost the whole time - have great fun! Enjoy!
