wife and I are planning on staying seven nights at Disney's HH Resort next May and would like to know if that is too much time. We've been there before but only for four days. Will we run out of things to do?

Another question is: if we wanted to break it up in the middle of the week for a two night stay in the Charleston Place, would two nights be too much in Charleston or is one night, two days sufficient?

Thanks for your input.

Charlestown Place is not too close to HHI. It is also not on the beach. I never run out of things to do for a 7 night stay at HHI. I used all my points this year for a GV. But I am going back to HHI in Sep on cash for 7 nights. If you need action and adventure then maybe you need to break it up. If you like to relax at the beach and pool then 7 days might not be enough. SAV. is a lot closer than Charlestown. There is a Southern Living Model house there right now. There is a Costal Living model house in Beaufort. These are decorated new construction home that are open for viewing for a small fee. (for charity) Sav. has the Mighty 8th air force museum and the water front historical district. It can be done in a day. Charlestown has the waterfront and the shops and forts and history. I think Charlestown is nicer than Sav. but it is a longer trip to get there from HHI. You do have to drive through the ghetto to get to both towns historical places, but don't let that discourage you as see it. they are really nice places.
You can even take a boat from HHI-harbortown to Sav. Charlestown Place is a really nice hotel, but in Charlestown you won't spend to much time in there as there are cool things to see like the aircraft carrier USS YORKTOWN.

Savannah is only a 40 minute dirve away from HH. My wife and spent a day there and it wasn't enough - but we like to proceed at a relaxed pace and not try to jam it all in. There are carriage tours, historic mansion tours and the waterfront as mentioned. There is Tybee island close by and other beaches. There are short Riverboat Cruises at the waterfront. I think you could easily use up two days at a leisurely pace. We haven't tried Charleston yet to compare but we planned to try Savannah the first trip we took to Hilton Head and will try Savannah next trip. Have a great time.

5 days was perfect for us. Anymore would have been too much.

We usually stay 6 nights when using a 2 bedroom....more for smaller accomodations.

We stayed in Savannah for two nights last year, then eight nights at the HHI resort. We thought two days was enough to give us a taste of Savannah. The trolly tours give you a great summary of most of the city highlights and allow you opportunities to explore the areas of your liking. The waterfront is a fun place to eat and walk.

There is so much to do at the HHI resort that it seems as if we never have enough time. We stayed seven nights this year, and I felt a little cheated. I love to participate in all of the resort activities, and there are so very many of them. The activities vary to provide a good selection for about a two-week staty. Between those and biking and golfing, we could stay there a month and still find ourselves entertained.

I think the HHI resort is one of Disney's best, so maybe I'm biased, but it really is a place where you leave all your worries and cares at the bridge gate and spend your time in complete peacefulness.

And if you like jazz, don't miss an evening at the Jazz Corner in the Wexford Plaza. That is really a highlight - great food and great music.

Have fun!

We honeymooned at Sea Pines in HH nine years ago this Sept. A day trip to Savannah and a day trip to Charleston were fun. There is also an outlet mall nearby for the shopoholics. You can take a boat cruise to watch the dolphins close up. The beach at Sea Pines was awesome. I toured the HH DVC a couple years ago. It is beautiful and a little isolated from the hustle and bustle. When vacationing, a year is not enough.

We have gone for weekends, 5nights and 6 nights.

We always are sad to leave and want more time at our favorite resort!

just returned fro HH last week. stayed a total for 5 nights two on the drive down to FL and three on the way back. With two boys 10 and 15 5 nights was more than enough. If you staying as two adults 7 nights would be great. HH is a great place to relax, experience good food and just unwind.
