Forgive me for being slightly off-topic here, but the Spartina Grill in Hilton Head was a favorite of many DVC members who vacationed there. (Not to mention that naturalist Bryan and recreation CM Kathy had second jobs there!) I, for one, was very disappointed when the restaurant closed earlier this year. We have not been back since its replacement, Live Oak Grill, opened a few months ago, but are looking forward to trying it in a couple of weeks.
Anyhow, one of the "signatures" of Spartina Grill was the Tomato-Basil Crab Bisque. It was even available by the quart for carry-out!
Well, ironically (since Spartina Grill is no longer inexistence), the August issue of Bon Appetit magazine has the recipe for the bisque in the RSVP section!!!
(Although for the life of me, I have no idea how it got there!
