HH & Ophelia.....

Called MS. No contingency plans at the moment. But if Ophelia winds up parking off the SC/GA coast or makes landfall next week.....Arghhh

If that happens, here's my situation:

1) We leave on Wednesday for 3 nights to use up banked 12/03 points that came with our contract + 4 points from our 12/04 UY...total 47 points.

2) My company is downsizing and we'll be having more layoffs at the end of this month. I don't think I'll be one of them....but if so, so be it, I'll take my 20 weeks severance and be done. So I may be "forced" to take the time off anyway by my bosses, since rescheduling with a depleted staff may be difficult.

3) I already have two more trips planned this year. One to visit my 86 year old Granddad in Ft Myers in Oct and our pre-Christmas trip to WDW in Dec. I've already purchased airfare for both. Plus I'm currently job searching at the present too and I may have some trouble negotiating these trips in, much less a third.

So, if I were to have to cancel, I would not be able to use the points before they expire on 11/30. What options do I have?

Can I transfer them to another member?
Will MS let me re-bank the '03 points.....that's if they have to evacuate HH?
Can I deposit them as "reservation" points and use them after 11/30?

Obi-Dean Kenobi...you're our only help.

Breathe. Although I'd hate the uncertainty of being in your situation as well. But, FWIW, last summer HH was given two voluntary evacuations. Keep in mind, the usual scenario with evacuations is that MS will let you mess with your points, to your advantage. But more to the point: although they called for the evac., in actuality nothing happened---the days the storms were to arrive were sunny, sparkling, warm, clear days--not even a breeze or a cloud--perfect beach weather. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the same thing happens for you too!
