We will be heading south to HH for 3 wonderful nights in February. :hyper: We took advantage of the Disney Visa $99/two bedroom offer. It will be an adult only trip. We usually go to HH in the summer with our teen DSs.

What should we expect during this time of the year? Will the pools be open? Are business still in full swing throughout the island? Is the beach house open?

DH and a friend want to go golfing in the morning which will allow time for my long time friend and I to catch up on happenings, plus do a little shopping, sight seeing, etc. We are also tossing around the idea of Chef Gordon's Private Affair. Is this still done in the beach house?

Thanks,
Karen

I'm hoping that somebody out there has your info, KarenB. I'd like to spend more time at HH, too.
What is the weather like there in Feb?

We were there last February, and I gotta say, the weather was COLD! We walked by an ice cream place, and it was too cold even for this ice cream lover to have any! I'd bought a new bathing suit, but didn't go in the pool. However, all the activities were offered but on the day we went to Pinckney Refuge, Christopher cut our trip short because everyone was so miserable with the weather.
However, would I go again in February? You betcha! Hot cider and cookies in Big Murgie's Den every afternoon-heaven! When I saw that Visa offer of $99 per night, I wished we hadn't made airplane reservations already for March. For that offer, I would have changed our dates in a heartbeat if we lived closer.

We spent a night there last Feb.....courtesy of a friend who had some extra points last year. It was COLD...but it isn't always that cold here in SC in Feb. Last year, apparently, my family brought winter with us from PA when we moved. Sorry to my fellow SC residents and vacationers.

Anyway, we really enjoyed the campfire program with our kids. It was too cold for us to swim but some brave souls from Wisconsin or some other cold place were in the pool....to the amusement of the CM's! The beach house was having renovations done, but it was open. We had lunch at Signals that was actually pretty good. I was mega-pregnant at the time so we really didn't do much....but our visit convinced me that I'd really like to return!

We weren't there long enough to find out what was going on or not throughout HHI....but we had dinner at Outback. It was too cold for mini golf or anything like that, but I think places were open. The resort had plenty of activities going throughout the week...we weren't there long enough to do more than the campfire. There was a special deal for bike rentals, if I remember correctly. If you had proper warm clothing (gloves...) biking wouldn't be out of the question.

Have a great time. I think my dh and I will try an adults only visit there sometime.
