HH Grand Villa at 7 month window

I have never booked at Hilton Head (own at BCV and AKV), but a group of my friends (11women) are thinking of a girls trip to HH and instead of renting a vacation home, I am considering using my points to book the trip. Is there any chance of booking a HH Grand Villa at the 7 month window? I'm assuming I would be able to get two 2-bedrooms at 7 months, but being in one villa would be our preference. Anybody that has experience at HH have any words of wisdom for me?

We have for an upcoming trip in early June. I was able to book 3 out of 5 nights at 7 months out, waitlisted first 2 nights which came through couple of weeks ago.
On your first eligible day, call VERY early (i.e. when phone lines open). Call MS if you haven't done a day-to-day reservation before. MS will explain the process and confirm when you can call back to reserve your first date. It possible to snag a GV at HH 7 months out, with little luck on your side

tamu91, You've given me hope! I really thought it wouldn't be possible, so I'm excited that a 7 month Grand Villa may work.

You could always make the ressie with a DVC cash reservation for your days and then try for the points reservation. That way if there are any of your days that you can't get you will have something to fill in the blanks. We have had to do that for our ressie in June. We have 3 Days on points and 4 on DVC cash held and the CM has them linked and we are waitlisted for the 4 days. If they come through we will let the cash days go. Just a thought. Have a great trip!
