We are thinking about HH again. We stayed in building 16 (one bedroom) last time because I thought it faced Shelter Cove, however it was a view of the inside, trees and horseshoe pit. Initially I was dissappointed, but then I loved the quiteness of it. This time we are considering a two bedroom that has a good view of the marsh. Does anyone know which would be the best building. Also does the sun shine in unbearably or a bug problem. Help :confused3 Thanks Kathy O

From what I've seen in my room reports from HH, and from talking with someone, building #31 (3121) is the best view for a 2 BR. We always reserve a 1 BR, but after talking to them, it almost made me want to change just for the view! #2722 and #1311 said they had great views too.

11 - 15, 18, 22, 24, 27, 29 & 31 all face the Marsh. We loved our top floor building 12 location last time. Just at the tree tops with a nice marsh view. 14 & 15 are the two along the 'boardwalk' and have totally unobstructed views of the marsh. Yes, late day sun pours into these locations, but never bothered us too much. Also never had a gnat or mosquito problem at our villa, just a few pesky mosquitos at the evening campfire.

ooh, ooh, ooh.....
I can answer this one!!!
We were at HH in april and had THE best 2br unit! It was 2411, facing the marsh and next to the pool. I noted that I would not want our balcony overlooking the pool as it was just not private enough for our taste. BUT...next to the pool with a marsh view was the best of both worlds. The campfire, community hall, refillable mugs, etc. were right next door but we could sit out on the deck/balcony and feel very 'low-country-ish'...if that makes sense.
Have a great time....we absolutely LOVED the resort.

When are you going? If not the same time as us, I'll share our experience. ;)

We staying in Building 31, 3121 last July. The view was awesome. For some reason, they trimmed all the trees/brush outside the balcony. We had a totally unobstructed view of Broad Creek. This will always be our all time favorite location. We spent many hours sitting on the deck, watching the tide come in/go out/dolphins/boats/sunsets. It was awesome.

We have never been disappointed with a view, though. It doesn't take long for it to feel like "home".

I have to agree that we have never been disappointed with a view, either.

We have had poolside (in the off season) and thought it was great and very convenient. (I think we're getting too old for that during the high season though! ;) ) We like marsh view the best, but during busy times, you can't always get one. The interior views are great, because you kind of feel like you're in someone's back yard and can see all your neighbors walking, jogging, or biking past.

The only thing I really worry about at HH is being sure to get a non-smoking first floor room. Yeah, we have sometimes had a herd of elephants living overhead, but when we move in at HH, we really move in and hate carrying our stuff up and down the extra flight of stairs. :sad2:

We are actually on the 2nd floor of building 24 right now, in 2421. Although the marsh view is partially obstructed by trees we love the shade they provide in the afternoon and the great location, between the pool and the playground. It’s the best room we’ve stayed in so far at HH. Interestingly, at check-in they showed us a map of the resort and what rooms were available and let us pick the room, they were definitely using a “room-ready” policy, I’m just glad we got here early enough to have a choice.

yep...'room ready' policy when we were there, too. We got in around 10 am because we drove down from nys the day before and stayed overnight near i95. Then just had an hour to drive to the resort. Never expected to get our room right away...just figured we'd hang out at the pool or beach til we could get in. Anyway.....they showed us a map also and we had our choice of several rooms that were ready and waiting...we chose one of a couple of marsh view n/s 2br.
