HH at 7 months out

I just wondered what type of luck members have had getting reservations at HH 7 months out. We would like to go the last week of May or sometime in June. We are pretty flexible with any of those 5 weeks. We will need a 2-bedroom for 6 nights (Sunday - Saturday).

You should be ok if you reserve exactly at the 7 month window. You may need to do day by day though, especially for mid June or after.

I just booked HH at 7 mths out, for the week right before Easter. I got it, but had to book day by day. I called MS on the first day I could and asked how booked it looked for a 2 bedroom at this time. He was nice enough to tell me that it seemed good for the first 3 days I wanted, but the last two I would be fighting tooth and nail to get. He told me to call right at 9am day by day. Well I did and got all our nights. Good Luck

I was able to book a studio 7 months out with no problem. We'll be there in six weeks!

Hi Eva - You haven't been here in a while! In the summer of 2000, I called 6 months ahead and told them I would go anytime during June or July. They had a 2br for the last week in July. It was wonderful - so wonderful that I did an add-on recently, to be assured of the summer months! With as much time as you have to be flexible, you will probably be able to book. Do it day by day, though, because the resort is small, and it books fast in the summer. Good luck! Candace

Thanks for all the help. I am a bit more optimistic now than I was yesterday. I will try the day by day reservation. You're right Candance, I haven't been on the site as much as usual. I took a new position as a training manager at a computer training facility and haven't had much time to even breath lately.

Just don't carry the optimism into the summer months. One can occasionally get a room for mid summer (mostly a 2 BR) but it's much more difficult and unlikely to do so.

We booked a 2BR at 7 months in May and had no problem. But it seems that 2BR are the most common rooms at HHI. We also see from the boards that HHI is becomming more popular as a DVC destination. We felt that when it sells out it will be more dificult to get into, so we did an addon. This also saves us from having to use our OKW points.

Let me know how the 7-month goes. I am thinking of going to HH also within the next year or two also. Looks like a very nice place. HH is also much closer to Oklahoma. We would likely go to Illinois first, then HH and back to Oklahoma.

We just booked at the 7 month window for a 2BR the first week of June. I did book it day by day just to be on the safe side. But, we really had no problems getting a 2BR for that week.

Hi everyone! It sure has been awhile. I guess I should update everyone. We changed our minds and decided to go to WDW this year instead of HH. I guess that I just couldn't miss the 100 year celebration. Also, my sister and her husband had a really rough year so we decided to treat them to a trip to WDW. We will be in a Grand Villa at OKW the second week of May. Then my husband and I are going to Vero for a few nights just the two of us. I couldn't believe that we got a Grand Villa just a little over 5 months out. I am feeling very decadent with only 6 people in a Grand Villa!

If it makes you feel better we will all come join you in that Grand Villa, hehe. I do not blame you for not wanting to miss the 100th. As things are going we will. Too much work to do here, build a garage, redo kitchen cabinets, ect. Maybe we can sneak down there next xmas and see the lights too.

Good luck getting your ressies at the 7 month window. I called today reagrding HH for late June. Only two nights of the four I wanted were available. Try to be flexible if you can. We could not I am planning a two week trip between the end of school start of camp and while my husband is on sabbatical. CRAZY

Good news though we will be staying at Vero Beach as well as VWL ( home resort) for a total of 14 nights !! We are truly excited here
