Researching this HGC diet- it is a hormone (the hormone you make during pregnancy) you put on your tongue- and has a very strict diet and restricts even the types of hygenine products (lotions, hair products, deodorant..) Just wondering if anyone has tried it - had success, side effects... my family is doing it and my Mom lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks?? Thanks!

Human Growth Hormone.
I think it is very dangerous. I would never try it. Have you googled it?

Why risk potential life threatening occurrences when the weight will just come back on with a vengeance once you stop starving yourself and taking the HCG. Because that IS what will happen. Your body will learn to store your fat once you start eating normal again in preparation for the next starvation diet. Sorry to be a downer, but I would NEVER go for a temporary fix and risk my health to do so.

Isnt that the hormone people take when they have infertility issues? So you would be super fertile...could get preggers? A lot of those people on the diet buy those drugs from other countries online, this shows a general lack of common sense in my opinion. You have no idea what you are paying for or putting into your body. Buying drugs online is a huge gamble. Those are all spam websites. Did you guys see the 20/20 on buying "Tamiflu" online? WHen they tested it, NONE of the "tamiflu" actually had any tamiflu in it.

I have two friends that have done this diet. The first lost 20 pounds, fast, only to gain it all back and then some. The second is still in the middle of the process and has already lost 18 pounds. She is very irritable, and always lightheaded. I tried to stop them from doing this but their "doctor" highly recommended it as safe to use. So frustrating.

i mentioned this to my mom yesterday and she said that hollywood stars have been doing this forever. says they claim it keeps them looking younger.

Maybe that explains all the Hollywood babies! lol

The HCG-diet combines the daily injections with a very low-calorie diet (500 calories per day).

If that is true? If I ran into any Doctor who claimed 500 calories a day was perfectly safe I'd run out of that office so fast there'd be like little Road Runner cartoon speed lines behind me.
