Good morning...well since I have been up since 4am it feels more like afternoon!

I want to thank all of you for the birthday wishes! It was a fantastic day and night and now we can get down to business and get to WDW!

Have some packing to finish and some light cleaning to do and I will leave to get Todd around 1pm, who knows if he will be ready by 2pm but I will take my chances because sitting at home and waiting is a killer!

Will do my very best to update tonight...until then, see you in WDW!

Good morning all my Diser friends! Today is the day before our trip so I have much to do to get ready...and its my 39th b-day and I am feeling so over the hill today, must be how I woke up

DH - Good morning you old bag

Yes, that is the first thing he said to me this morning, didnt I marry a peach?

ME - Jeez thanks, gimme cofffee

DH - What are you going to do today?

ME - Get ready for our trip tomorrow, duh

DH - I was looking at your list (he means my dining list, I printed it out along with some other things) and I just...

ME - (Picture my finger jabbing him in the chest) Hands off the list bub, I am not changing, adding or cancelling one thing

DH - I was going to tell you that the list looks great...wow you are cranky in your old age

Hey, its 6am on my last 30 something birthday and I havent had coffee yet, and it is HIM afterall and add that to Disney dining stuff and I tend to be a little on edge

ME - You know what I want for my birthday?

DH - What, a 10 night stay at the BWI and F&W isnt enough for you?

ME - (Totally ignoring that remark) I want you to get out of work on time tomorrow

DH - Keep it up and I will make you wait longer

ME - Keep it up and I will leave without you

DH - Bring me with you and you have twice the food and drink to post on the Dis

We are here, yippee! If any of you had bets that Todd wasnt going to get out early you won..we didnt leave until 4:15 but we arrived right at 7pm. You would not believe the line of cars trying to get into the BWI tonight and then an ambulance was trying to get through and there was no where for anyone to move to...OY!

We checked in and we did receive our king bed on the 4th floor right by the elevators but the view is the valet area, oh well we do not care about the view as the room is gorgeous and has free WIFI, a DVD player and is so clean!

After we checked in and waited for our bags we had to change into warmer clothes, it was a bit chilly here tonight. Then it was time to get down to business, what to eat for dinner?

ME - What do you want to eat?

Todd - Food

ME - Ha ha funnyman....

Todd - Whatever you want, I thought you were in charge of this trip?

ME - Glad to see you are seeing the light

Neither of us ate lunch so we were starving and wanted something better than bar food (no ESPN tonight). I named off all the places we could go but he was dying for a pizza and it was too cold to eat outside at the BWI pizza window we walked over to the Swan and had dinner at Il Mulino. There was an hour wait but we just grabbed a high top table at the bar and started with these little beauties

Is there a better way to begin a vacation? They were delish but they tasted exactly the same

I had the minestrone but it was too salty for me so DH had no problem finishing it off.

I asked the waitress if there was any bread and she said she could bring us garlic bread, thank goodness I asked if there was cheese on it because yes, that is how it comes out but they left the cheese off of it. Todd loved this but I thought it was gross, very dry and overcooked and full of garlic salt, not real garlic

It is very easy not to eat lactose at this place, just get the dish I had. A roasted chicken with lots of rosemary and garlic and such, a huge boneless chicken breast with the little leg bone and skin still attached. Served with escarole, picture the Italian version of southern greens, everything cooked in a white wine sauce I loved this, the chicken was so tender and the greens were loaded with fresh garlic...this is not served with pasta but I didnt miss it

I knew the boy was going to get pizza, a pepperoni one which he enjoyed but didnt care for the crust, it was more like a lavosh cracker. I didnt try any but it smelled very good.

Whats weird is when we ate here a few years ago we were given a plate of roasted eggplant and salami but not this time and we were not given our little glass of Limoncello but we didnt need either of them.

The service was amazing, we had 2 wonderful girls waiting on us and they were very attentive. I would def eat in the bar again, although my short legs did fall asleep since they do not reach the step on the bar stool

We decided against dessert as we were full and really tired...but when have you know my husband to say no to sweets??

So glad to see you arrived !!! After our Free trip with 2who had lactose intolerances . I know how absolutely wonderful Disney is !! At Olivias the chef made lactose free pancakes, and at chef Mickey a spwcial cupcake for a chocolate allergy!!!We had chefs going over the menus and escorting us around buffets .It was awesome !!!

When we left Il Mulino the weather was getting cooler and I was getting tired, hey I was up since 4am so we decided to walk back to the resort and get some tea and go to bed. We didnt have plans for tomorrow so I started on him (yeah I know I have this multiple choice thing but I will always be me so whaddaya going to do?

ME - Whats the plan for tomorrow?

Todd - I dont know, have to look at my little spreadsheet

ME - Its gonna be cold

Todd - Did you factor that into your spreadsheet?

ME - No

Todd - And you call yourself a Diser....ppfff

We still have not decided what we are going to do but I think it involves sleeping in!

As we were walking back to the room someone decides he needs a treat...got to give it to him, just 2 hours since we arrived and he was able to hold out...must be a record for him

We walked into the BWI Bakery and it was pretty busy in there so I couldnt take pictures but I will get them later in the trip.

I knew what I wanted...the gigantic pumpkin cupcake.

Todd - You cannot have that, look how much whipped cream is on that thing.

ME - (Lip out with a big pout) But I want it...its pumpkin

Todd - What are you 5? You know you are going to be sick from it

ME - I just want a bite, one little bite isnt going to kill me

Todd - Just dont wake me up if it does.

ME - Deal!

So I had this gorgeous looking pumpkin cupcake and took it back to the room...I was just about to take a huge bite when my nursemaid reminded me to take a Lactaid to be safe and, well, I almost forgot to take a picture!

The cupcake is a white/yellow cake that is super moist and huge and in the middle is a whipped pumpkin mousse with a huge amount of real whipped cream on top with a bit of graham cracker cinnamon crumbs and a white chocolate pumpkin. I had just one bite...yes, just one bite and I avoided the whipped cream like the plague. It was the best one bite of anything I have ever had. And the kicker is the one bite was enough for me, I know right? How weird am I but it was so good..ok so maybe my one bite was really a two biter but if one forkful went in my mouth then it counts as ONE BITE!

Todd had the eclair, he loves them and will get one every time he sees one. This one was huge, covered in chocolate and orange frosting for Halloween. He didnt like it at all because it was filled with plain whipped cream, he prefers the yellow custard cream.

Now we are ready to crash, actually he is already out like a light and I am not too far behind him....I have no clue what we are going to do but if my plotting goes according to plan we will have breakfast at The Wave (late one I think) and then head to DTD for shopping and a movie and lunch somewhere....but then again who really knows what he is going to decide on?
