Here are the photos..
These complex is AMAZING!!!
It's a big open field w/ hills/valleys/ woods.. great for cross country running... it gave all the kids a work out!!!
It's a complex that allow you to see the race.. I think the only thing we couldn't see was the bit of woods..but they have 4 wheel police vehicles that lead and follow the runners.. this enables those who need help to get help immediately!!!
The course is lined by a fence..and a big path is cut lower so the runners know exactly where the course is..
There are gates so you can cross the course when there are no runners and get closer to the areas that are farther away..believe me.. I travel!! LOL
I try not to miss a chance to send encouragement to my DD and the other girls on our team... They tell DD that it is a hoot because I'm right there and they know they are gonna be told to move up and get the runners in front of them!!! Sorry, its a race, I don't play nice.. now to get my DD to see this!!!
Here is the sign we saw when we got up to the course itself from the parking.
Anyway, the complex has a great building where the officials can SEE all the race course...
They don't hesitate to tell you to GET off the COURSE, of course I don't mind yellin' at spectators to when there are runners.. HELLO!! RUNNER!!!
Here is the finish line (shoot)..above the shoot is their time..so when they have the last 500 yards they can see the time they need to beat...
When the race started there were 300 plus kids I would say... MY gosh they went on for DAYZ!!! I have a photo of the JV race that DD ran and they stretched the whole area...
side 1 of the start field
continuation of start field
Here are some various shots of the course (when I wasn't cheering)
BTW, check your email.. I'll tell you where WALDO is!
