Hey Mom, Do I get to be the line leader again? A PTR…(My TR has started! - 6/1)

Lots of plans in the Trahan household this weekend. We're cleaning inside the house, and Bryan is planning to cut the grass. The boys are itching to go play outside. The grass needs to be cut first, and I need to call Terminix to spray the yard once more for ants.

Megan, sounds like you have a busy weekend! I can't stand those pesky ants. They drive me crazy!

It's been super busy for us too. Thanks again for all the info and help. Terminix comes to my house every three months. I'm not a fan of the creepy crawlies.... Ants, spiders, and anything else that flies, slithers, or crawls...

We normally have them under control. We always have this problem come up as soon as the weather gets warmer. After spraying for them a time or two, they'll be gone.

No problem. It's the least I can do. We get a visit down here every other month. The bugs aren't problems for me. I can handle them. Rodents, on the other hand,:scared1::scared1::scared1:. It amazes Bryan that I am so afraid of mice, but I love the Mouse.;)

So, I was supposed to run today...my longest run to date - 25 minutes. After my run earlier this week, I had a lovely pain in my rear. That pain lasted for a couple of days. Well, the pain started to return during my run today. It hurt so badly, I had to stop after running a mile and a half - 15 minutes. I was unable to finish. That is the first time that has happened to me in the 6 weeks I have been doing this. The pain went away after about a couple of hours, so I will try again tomorrow. The good news? I was running at a 10 minute pace which is pretty good for a new runner. I should have no problem finishing the 5K in 30 minutes. Eight weeks until the race...

Alice was VERY GOOD!!! The 3D was well done, and the movie itself was very good! Burton certainly put his "stamp" on it.. and Depp was.. Depp. Chase and I really enjoyed it!

So sorry to hear of your setback.. I'm sure it will pass and you'll be back to 100% in no time! I will also keep "pluggin away" with the running and excercise. I know your hubby has had his own setback with his weight.. I know it is frustrating.. but he has come such a long way.. I will see this thing through.. I have about 10 weeks to go, and I will make the run.. and I will continue to push my body to it's limits!!! Then when May gets here.. I'm going to ENJOY MYSELF

Just joining in. 57 pages to read so I have a lot to catch up on. Your boys are adorable! Off to start reading.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Alice. Hopefully, I'll get over there to watch eventually.

I'll get back on track soon. I was actually surprised that I hadn't had an injury of some sort yet. There's less than 10 weeks now. I'll just do what I can in the time we have left.

So, I tried the running again today. I was able to finish the 25 minute run. I am well on my way to being able to finish a 5K. The race date is May 1st. Getting excited...

I know it's early, but I need to make a list of what needs to be replensihed in our DIsney box. I know I went through it already to take out things that expired or what not, but I need to be a bit more thorough this time.

I also need to go shopping for clothes for Sammy. He is definitely outgrowing his shorts and shirts right now.

Oh, and news on Cooper...in the month since his surgery, he has gained 5 pounds! Needless to say, I think the surgery has helped him out. He is able to eat better than ever.

Hey Megan
Happy to hear you were able to get your run in tonight! sorry to hear about your ear ache the other day...I had that last week with the spring air.
I bet with the time change and the beautiful weather running was alot easier...I took the kids out to play this afternoon it was so nice sitting in shorts soaking up the sun :sunny:
Great news about Sammy if he is anything like my kids with weight gain comes height...all three of them did/do that. So, I feel confident for you that he will hit that 40" by May! :yay:
:wave2:

I'm really impressed by your running regimen Megan! Good job and good luck in the race!

I'm so glad to hear Cooper is doing so well since the surgery. Sounds like you made a good decision.

So I got back from Disney on Saturday and I totally see why you guys love Kidani Village so much! I had a wonderful evening there with dinner at Sanaa. I had a table near the windows, and it didn't get dark til I finished, so I was able to watch the animals while I ate. The food was delicious, almost signature dining worthy to me! I sat around the fire pit and was able to catch a storyteller, who then told me about the drum procession and the nightly lecture. So I watched that stuff too - learned all about the big cats of Botswana (lion, cheetah, and leopard).
What a great resort!

So, I am finally caught up with your PTR and I have to say that it's great! I love how you guys have found friends so close by that share the same love for the Mouse as you. I have enjoyed reading the back and forth banter between you guys! All of the pictures from your last trip look great! I wish I was only 10 weeks away from our trip but, alas we have 256 days to go! It seems like a lifetime! I can't wait to hear how this coming trip plays out! Have fun!

I'm excited for you on the running! That's great that you were able to do the whole 25 minutes this time. :) I use my treadmill 3x a week. I was doing some running on it, but it started to bother my hips! :scared1: I backed it off to walking with 5 min. of running thrown in for good measure.

Do you guys take your grocery items with you or buy them when you get there? I'm going to research Garden Grocer's delivery. Do you know much about that? It sure would be a lot easier to get the groceries when we get there, but I don't want it to take up my Disney time! ;) But I don't know if grocery delivery is expensive. :confused3

:yay: for Cooper!

Congrats on getting your run in without pain Megan!

I've been doing a lot of clothes shopping for the girls. I can't wait to be a little thinner and do some shopping for myself. :goodvibes

How great that Cooper is able to enjoy his food and is feeling so much better! I'm sure that makes you feel a lot better about the decision. :cloud9:

Megan- It's been way too long since I've posted, but wanted to say WOOOHOOO on your running! I tried the Couch 2 5 K last year and just could not do it. I need to start with a serious walking regimine, though. I think that I will when DH gets back from Vegas and can watch the boys. I gotta get ready for all of this walking! It'll be here before we know it!

Hey Connie! I was happy to be able to get the run in tonight. I hope the rain holds off for me tomorrow evening so that I can repeat it and try to run farther. It was so much easier to run. I actually broke a bigger sweat with this one. With the cold air, I would barely break a sweat. I'm sure the further into summer we get, the more diffcult it will get.

I have my fingers, toes, eyes, hair, everything hoping that his growth catches up with the weight gain.

Thanks Abby! I am confident that I'll be able to get the race done in 30 minutes or less. I have plenty of time to get it done.

Bryan and I were talking about the decision to do the surgery has been a great one. It has made such a difference in his general health.

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful evening at Kidani. It is just so lovely and relaxing. There is so much to do. I remember the boys dancing with the CMs at Kidani last summer to the beating of the drums in the lobby. We had a wonderful savanna table at Sanaa as well. It is just so nice to be able to have those animals roaming right outside as you eat. It is so immersive. I believe Sanaa will become the next Disney restaurant that has difficulty to get a reservation. It is just so YUMMY! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed my DIsney home! I look forward to hearing all about your trip...AGAIN!!!
