Hey Mom, Do I get to be the line leader again? A PTR…(My TR has started! - 6/1)

Just curious teacher are you on the DDP or can a person just book dinning plans without being on the DDP? OMG!! I hope that made sense LOL.

Let me tell you my plans and I hope they make sense. Ok so since I recieved the pin code offer for 40% off I booked the room only at the CR.
I'll get my tickets through undercover tourist because they are cheaper and you get more days esp if you go through mousesaver.

Now as for dinning I am totally clueless on that one esp since my birthday falls on the 26th.

So now tell me if I will be able to add a couple dinning ressie without being on the DDP

We are on the dining plan, but you do not need to be on it to book a reservation. If you are staying onsite you can book your dining 180 days in advance plus up to 10 days after that. If you are staying offsite, you can only book 180 days in advance, so you had a reservation each day of a 7 day trip, you would need to call everyday for 7 days at your 180 day mark. I hope that made sense.

Megan Great ADR's I could not get on the online system so I had to call. Maybe we will run into you guys at MK or AK.

PP You do not need to be on the DDP to make ADR's-just need that 180 day mark.

Sorry to hear the online system never worked for you. As soon as it opened up past the 20th, everything went smoothly. I look forward to maybe running into everyone. I'll be on the lookout.

I know it has been a while since I posted the end of this day, so I’ll get us back on track.

When I last left you on our journey, we had just bought a Goofy hat for Sam on our way out of the park. We went back to the AKL bus stop and waited less than 5 minutes for a bus. I really want to say that we had INCREDIBLE luck with buses this trip. We rarely waited 10 minutes. Most of the time, it was 5 minutes or less.

We got back to the hotel and laid down for a few minutes before changing into our suits to head down to the pool. We waited for the call from the Boquets to let us know they had arrived before we headed downstairs. We took the quick ride down as soon as they called and met them in the lobby. We walked them over to the pool since there was a key card entrance at the gate.

Once there, we all jumped in and had a grat time. We stayed out for maybe 1 ½ - 2 hours. Randy has any pictures taken that day since we have a lack of a waterproof camera right now. We all swam, went down the slide, and played in the splash area. A good time was had by all. When we finished, we brought the Boquets up to our room to check out the new rooms at Kidani. They agreed that it was huge compared to other 1BRs (except for OKW) and absolutely gorgeous.

Once they left, we all got cleaned up for our dinner at Sanaa. We headed downstairs once we were all cleaned up. We requested to be seated next to the window along the savanah. We waited about 5 minutes and were seated with our request granted. The boys loved it!

Our server came to the table, welcomed us to the restaurant, and asked if he could help us with our choices. We knew we wanted to order the bread service but were unsure of which 3 to pick. The server helped us by suggesting we get the naan, paratha, and paneer paratha breads. We chose the mango chutney, red pepper hummus, and the cucmber raita. They were ALL FANTASTIC!!!

For our entrees, I got the tandoori chicken. It was amazing. It came with a bowl of rice, a bowl of peanut sauce, and a lot of chicken from the tandoori oven. I just went ahead and mixed everything up on the plate. It was great. Bryan had the curries. It was a pick two entrée. He had a choice between a red curry with chicken, a short rib with gravy, and green curry with shrimp. He picked the shrimp and the chicken. Bryan loves curry, but he said these two curries had more flavor than any other curry dish he had. He loved his dish as well. Sam had the kid’s pizza. We actually ordered a meal here for Cooper because neither Bryan nor I wanted to share with him. He got the cheeseburger. If I am remembering correctly, our server didn’t even charge us for the meal for Cooper which was completely nice, but very unexpected.

The boys had the ice cream for dessert. Bryan had the dessert sampler. We both loved the chai cream. It was awesome. Overall, the meal at Sanaa was fabulous. It quickly jumped to the top of our must do list for every trip.

After dinner, we explored the resort a bit. Some of the CMs began beating drums in the lobby and danced around. The boys jumped in. Afterwards, I brought Cooper into Community Hall to play, draw, color a mask, etc., and Bryan brought Sam to play in the arcade. It was a fantastic night. We headed back upstairs and went to bed dreaming of Epcot in the morning.

A few pics from our dinner at Sanaa…

Great update Megan! How fun to hang out at the pool. Looks like we have a pretty good shot at running into each other. Yay!

The view at Sanaa looks incredible. My girls would definitely love it. I wish Boma would have set better with Joe so I could talk him into Sanaa. He's convinced he just doesn't like African cuisine. :confused3

Thanks! It was certainly a lot of fun! I'll be on the look out for everyone!

It was incredible. If he like Indian or Thai flavors, you might be able to get him to try it. It's less African flavors than Boma. We liked it better than Boma Boma was actually high on Bryan's must-do list (which really surprised me).

Ooooh nice choices for ADR's! I've had that same problem booking Sanaa online - it always says there is no availability. :confused3

I was going to eat there on my December trip, but we gave it up for a DIS Meet at Boma. I want to try Boma....but I wish we could fit Sanaa in to our trip too! Oh well, I hope I'll make it there over spring break. It's my first priority for ADR's then!

That is an adorable photo of you at Sanaa with one the kids.

Here ya go.. you mentioned them so here they are:

Please note the sad ending.. Cooper was a big boy sliding down the slide.. but not so big at the conclusion :guilty:

Wonderful update!!

Hope you enjoy the pics...

Thanks Randy! I laugh every time I think of Cooper begging to go down that slide and his reaction at the end.

Thanks! I wonder what the problem is with Sanaa. It is strange that it is the restaurant that always has problems. Weird! Try to make it over there one day. It is worth the trip! That was Cooper on my lap. He is an aversion to sitting in his own chair when dining out.;)

So, I went to my parents' house yesterday to help my mom cook. She fixes my grandmother's dressing, and it takes a couple of days to fix. Well, she decided she would keep the boys overnight. I am going back over there this morning to not only pick up my children but to also make pies.

I will probably not have the time after this to log onto the disboards till Friday, so I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Sounds like what I'm doing! Yesterday I made some 2 pumpkin pies and a sweet potato casserole. Today I go back to my mom's to start on the mashed potatoes and a pear tarte. My mom is making the stuffing, so all I have to do is on Thursday is the turkey and gravy! And a million dishes....:faint: Luckily, we're able to delegate out other dishes to the rest of the family and they bring them on Thursday.
We're going to be 14 people for dinner and 18 for dessert!!!

Are you guys having a big Thanksgiving?

Thanks Randy! I laugh every time I think of Cooper begging to go down that slide and his reaction at the end.

No problem! BTW they have a very sweet olympus waterproof camera on sale this black Friday for very cheap at office depot, you may want to check it out..

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Hey Teacher that is one heck of a dressing for it taking 2 days to fix. Can you save me some? :flower3:

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and give the boys big hugs and kisses:love:

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for at this time of year. Now to finish my shopping. We finished everything for the boys, but I am going out tomorrow to get a Leapster for Cooper from my parents. My brother also gives me money to buy the gifts for the boys, so I'll get something extra for them too.
