I'll be back in about 15 minutes...gotta pick up dd.

Michelle, does the floor hold up well with the dog? How about the moisture in the bathroom? We've been considering laminate flooring, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

The laminate is awesome with the dogs. Cleans up easily...I have a towel we keep on the edge of the shower and it is mandatory that the kids put that on the floor before exiting the shower. (my kids are 21, 19, 14, so they pretty much adhere to that rule) I bathe the dogs in there, and the moisture does not seem to be an issue.

The hardwood, we found out is a lower grade finish on it. It has scratched easily because of the dogs, and because the finish is low grade, that is the consequence. It does not in any way look bad, though. I love the richness of it. We will be having it refinished with a high quality finish in the spring.

One over the other, I choose the hardwood. I don't like the "sound" the laminate has. Personal preference, though.

ok ladies sahadow is sitting here giving me dirty looks,, i think its bed time

gnight gang. will check in prior to haunted house prop search/ garage sale trip in morning:)

Me too, good nite all! Work starts tomorrow on the paver sidewalk..I will post pics....

:cloud9:

I just got here and people are going to bed! Good night Michelle and Frogmeister!

You all have such cute houses! I don't know how to post a pic of mine but it looks exactly like EVERY house in the Phoenix suburbs. We paid 200K for it just over 2 years ago, and now 'our house' is going for 350-400K. I am terrified that the bubble will burst right before we need to sell. Phoenix area is the fastest growing city in the US (I've heard) so I hope that it sells when we need it to!

I am drinking a beer. I am going to try to be good. Since I was supposed to start dieting today! Those darn 15 pounds! Tae Bo kicked my patootee today, so I am beat!

What else is going on here?

Aidensmom-did you see that I got slapped in the head for my retort to you on my Johnny Depp movie thread!? :goodvibes

The most exciting thing I have seen is "Toothpaste - The Poll" :rotfl:

I can't handle that kind of excitement!

Did you see that Downer wants help with her wedding plans? Ummm, did she alienate 70% of the board, or is it just me?? What's sad is that I want to offer her advice. I am so freakin' nice! I am sure I am on her ignore list though. :teeth:

What are you pouring? :teeth:

I can't believe this, but I think I am actually ready for bed. I have to get up early tomorrow, and the DIS is just too eerily quiet tonight. See you all sometime tomorrow.

Cheap beer is what is on tap at my place. I have tried to get pics to post and my computer kind of freezes. I need a new one..but all my money is gone. Plus, I need to finish Christmas shopping by Halloween. It is a goal of mine... :cool1: Although I admit, I am not very goal oriented. :earsgirl:

I guess we'll just have to rely on this tonight...

Hey SillyMe, do you have TMJ? When are you getting jaw surgery?

I've been putting off my surgery for several years now, but I know I'm going to have no choice but to have it done within the next year. I need to have the Surgically Assisted Rapid Palate Expansion to widen my upper palate. It's going to be extremely expensive and I'm not looking forward to the pain aspect either, which is why I've put it off.

I do have mild TMJ. I grind and clench my teeth in my sleep.

Oh man! I'm so sorry! I have TMJ and for the 6 years that I really suffered, I seriously wanted to cry a lot. Braces have been a godsend. I think that is why we moved to Phoenix...to meet my ortho.

Go and get it over with. Will insurance pay for any? My braces were a MEDICAL NECESSITY, and insurance paid for $0. It's pricey! :grouphug:
