Oh man! I'm so sorry! I have TMJ and for the 6 years that I really suffered, I seriously wanted to cry a lot. Braces have been a godsend. I think that is why we moved to Phoenix...to meet my ortho.

Go and get it over with. Will insurance pay for any? My braces were a MEDICAL NECESSITY, and insurance paid for $0. It's pricey! :grouphug:
The insurance won't pay for it. Right now I'm waiting until I have dd14's braces paid off, which will be in 2 months. I put approximately $7,000 into her mouth the past few years, so I had to put mine on the back burner.

I guess I'm not as worried about the pain from the surgery as much as I am about not being able to eat.

In my very limited experience, surgery is never as bad as the $$$. You will still be able to LUSH!! Wow! My braces cost $5300 and I thought that was bad! I know after my veneers it will be more like $13K, but I am trying hard not to think about that right now.

Do you have pain from your jaw? You will have braces put on right after you heal from surgery?

When are the Lushes meeting at WDW? We really should you know!

I do have pain sometimes, but not too bad. It's tolerable. They will actually put the expander on before the surgery. I'm not sure if they'd put the braces on before or after. I didn't get too many details from the ortho...he's the one who told me I need to have it done. I never went to the oral surgeon for my consultation, because I knew at the time I wasn't able to have it done. As soon as I know I can do it, I'll go pay for the consultation and get the specifics.

Oh yeah, that would be awesome.

I say you and I plan it right now, and when the other ladies complain about not being involved, we tell them they shouldn't have been such pansies and gone to bed early. I'll be there in Nov (16-27) and sometime in Jan or Feb. You?

I just asked dd6 if I can go to WDW without her in November and she said "no". She's begging to sleep with me tonight, so I tried to bargain with her. It didn't work. :rotfl: Unfortunately I don't think I can take dd14 out of school this year. It's her first year in high school.

Yeah. I wouldn't take her out of school either. My Jan or Feb trip is going to be my cousin and me only (was going to be a solo trip, but we got to talking...you know how it goes). Jellyrolls every night! Nov is a family trip. But I could take a night off to LUSH. You, dbf, an dd6 could come. DD14 wouldn't have a party would she?? It isn't in her genes or anything! :teeth:

Wow, so how many lushes are left in the lounge?? :teeth:

I have to tell you all that Deuce Bigalow was so freakin stupid that it was funny. :rotfl:

Just me and Silly. We are going to plan a LUSH WDW meet. Do you think that would be fun!!!???

I would totally leave my kids together if I were you! I am jealous. I know that dh will probably be gone all year next year and would sure appreciate help!

Don't curse me. I sure hope it's not in her genes. :rotfl: I'll have to check her school calendar when she gets it on Monday. Last year we went while they had teacher conferences, so she didn't miss too much. They always have them in November, but I'm not sure yet what week they will be this year.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. Talk to ya tomorrow. You know I'm probably going to be dreaming about drinking my way around EPCOT. :teeth:

Awwww man, what a hoot we would be. :teeth: We would be more obnoxious than an entire squad of cheerleaders. :rotfl: No place would be safe. ;)

Sweet dreams, SillyMe. :goodvibes :cloud9:

Wouldn't it, though? Imagine, when we got back, there would be new thread titles 'When will the Lushes be there?' and it would say:

Last time I was at WDW I just couldn't get away from the lushes. In Space Mtn they were drinking out of flasks. At ToT they were puking outside the doors. At Jellyrolls, they had their tops off. When will the madness stop? My children saw these ladies!! :teeth:

Yeah, it would be worse than exposing your child to Bourbon Street. :teeth: ;)

Ok, I have to vent for a sec. I had a tubal pregnancy 13 years ago and I do not consider that comparable to an abortion of a normal pregnancy. :guilty:

:grouphug: It isn't the same. A tubal is not viable. I've had 3 miscarriges, and I consider a tubal to be the same thing (but the tubal is more painful).

And that would be different than here, how?

Pour me a drink. I need a strong one. Or is the bar closed? Did you slushes drink everything?

Wow, it was such an emotional time for me and this thread is making me sad. :guilty: I was just 23, but my doctor said it would be best to remove the tube altogether cause of scarring would make it very possible for future tubals and she didn't want me to go through that again. She said if I didn't already have a child, she wouldn't do it. The reason being that some women will ovulate in only one tube. She said it could make it much more difficult to have another child. Vince and I were fine with one and I figured that was what was meant to be. As time went by I just assumed I would never have another baby. Then when I was 29 we were pleasantly surprised with Michael. :goodvibes

Hugs sweetie :grouphug: I can't believe that anyone would think a woman should just let the ectopic pregnancy rupture and threaten the mother's life. That thread is ridiculous if you ask me.

Well because you can't actually hear us and we don't overtake the pool or run outside your door making noise while you're trying to sleep. :teeth:

Michie, have a ruby red rum runner. :)
