That slide show was the BEST

Thank you so much for posting it, now I'm ready to cry because
I miss everyone so much. July 30 group: that was the best vacation
Bob and I EVER had because of meeting all of you. I MUST do it again,
same people, I don't care if it is the same place or wherever it is. I don't
care if the ship would stand still as long as I'm with all of you. PLEASE,
everyone, let's DO IT in 2007. Lynn's pictures made me so happy and
so sad. :sunny:

I have never said this to anyone I only met for a week, but I love each
and every one of you and miss you so much. FRIENDS FOREVER :love1: :love2: :lovestruc  :grouphug:

Alright, I've been MIA for a few days. It was so much fun to sit down and read this board this morning.

JT a/k/a Bill Glad to see you are back. We missed you.

Lucy - OK, OK, yes, I am crying again. I just got to see Lynn's pictures (thank you Lynn) and of course it made me cry. Some great shots Lynn, thanks for sharing. Yes Lucy I am with you, wherever and whenever. And I miss you guys lots!!!

Bob - Happy belated birthday to you! :bday: I am sorry I missed it, but hope you had a great day!!!!

Joann Don't cry, you still have one home, but I am sure the house seems very empty. Hope everything is going well with Tara, Alex met her roommate last night and they really like each other, so that is a plus. I have been so busy that it hasn't hit me yet. She is leaving in 9 days, some of her friends have already left, this is the big weekend for the college exodus. Wendy Is your son leaving this weekend?

Kathy - I'll eat a little for you, but let the big butt fairy go live somewhere else, I have enough of my own, thank you very much...Also, we are still interested in doing a night out in the city in the fall, if you are still interested, I will let you know when we start throwing some dates around. Anyone else????

DavidKeep those pictures coming, we love them.

Well, have to go to work, have a great day all!
Debi

The pictures were great. What a treat!

We've been waiting for this new sushi bar to open up near us. Well guess what...it's finally set to open next Thursday but since I'll be on iodine restriction I won't be able to check it out until the 16th. UGH!

Ted had a little excitement while the kids and I were gone. I was flipping through our caller id yesterday looking for the phone number of one of our neighbors who had called recently. I came across a call that came in at 6:30am a week ago Thursday from a name I didn't recognize. I asked Ted who had called so early in the morning. It turns out it was a neighbor who lives a few streets away who Ted had treated previously in the hospital. He called Ted because he thought he was having another GI bleed and he was alone in his house. He was lucky he caught Ted because that is usually about the time he is pulling out of our driveway. Ted went to his house where he found him in shock and decided to drive him to the hospital himself instead of calling 911. After he was stabilized in the ER Ted scoped him to stop the bleeding. The guy had bled out 2/3 of his blood volume. If Ted had missed his call he probably would have died within an hour. He's evidently not out of the woods yet though. Had I not noticed the unusual call Ted never would have mentioned it. I guess it's not simply guts and butts as Ted likes to joke about his specialty!

Hi, sorry I've been absent, Mike is at UNH now we drove him up on Friday,
I've only talked to him once but he seems good. But, his mother is still recovering! Good luck Debi and Joann with getting yours off to college!
Debi: I'll e-mail you the pics again
Lucy: Go for it change is always healthy.
Kathy: hope all goes well with your results :wizard:
So all of us love football too! Looks like they'll be some good competition this season. The Pats are looking great!
It's weird not going to my son's weekly high school ball games. I think I'm having withdrawals! What will I do on Saturdays now?
Take care!
Wendy :goodvibes

Sorry Jenny & Mark, it was a blowout!! Honestly, I was just there for the McNabb/Owens drama!!

The girls are offiicially BTS, I HAVE NO MONEY LEFT!! :pug: BW to Debi & Wendy.........so far my freshman has told me that her roomie is bi and she smells...........should be a fun year!! :guilty:

Lynn & Keith...loved the pics, thx for sharing........can you send them to be again? I think I deleted them.

Wow, Kathy, what a story about Ted! He must be a special guy! :cheer2:

GL all with your BTS moments........it's a crazy time of year! :teacher:

Jo ann I've re sent them, we're curious I wanted a snap of the lifeboat drill so i just held up my camera and snapped, is it you in the picture? Keith and I keep staring at it, solve the mystery for us please.

Bill and Jenny
I've sent the link to you sorry it didn't get there first time

Debi Ok the on line album is done now I just have to print these babies out and get them into scrapbook albums, have you done any layouts yet. I'd love to see some of your pages when you're done, do you ever put your pages on line?

Lynn,

I noticed that lifeboat drill picture and I'm sure it's JoAnn.

I think "bts" = back to school.

I can't stop watching the Weather Channel coverage of Hurricane Katrina. Wow!

I had my final meal tonight...yes I'm being dramatic. We had pizza. I went to Cold Stone Creamery 3x this week. It's going to be a long few weeks.

Thx Lynn, I didn't see that pic last time! That is me in the lifeboat drill pic but not my family!! :sunny:

BTS............back to school! :teacher:

Hey Kathy, nice knowing ya!!! jkjkjkjk

Everyone...........in just 9 hours................my next school year begins........with my new crew!! whooopppeeeee :cool1:

Hey All!!

What a crazy week/weekend!!! We took the kids to King's Island's waterpark on Sat. It was extremely overcast, and as we expected we had the place to ourselves!! We had done everything (some more than once) in 1 1/2 hours! Spent both evenings with Cincy friends as we usually only see them at games. Next weekend will be more of the same.......busy!

JoAnn T.O. put his money where his mouth was! Man is he good. Too bad he likes to keep it stirred. We DID NOT look good. I was bummed for Mark and his buddy. They have such high expectations this year after all the years of drought!! As far as baseball tickets......I would highly encourage you to buy while they are available and maybe not doing extremely well. You will have a great investment down the road. Mark is quite the ticket expert, so I listen a lot to him. :cheer2:

Bob :cake: :bday: Happy belated Bob! :love2:

David Love the pix..........keep 'em coming!

Kathy The butt fairy and all of her extended family live on me! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Bill Eagles are a great team! I like being the underdog though... :dog2: :dog: ;)

Debi/Kathy Mark and I were discussing a "city" visit today. One of the kids who bellhops at the Hyatt we stay at just transferred today to one in NY. He really wants us to come out too. Mark and I will keep in touch on that. I would love to do a Broadway play. That is what this kid went for. He is aspiring as an actor!

JoAnn
What had you done with your family??
BTS I shoulda known that shouldn't I...

Well Day One is past.............all in all it went well!! :teacher:

Tara & Tracy are at Temple University...............the scary part is the neighborhood they now reside in....... :pug: .......I left the city years ago and now my grown daughters have chosen to live in the worst section as they educate themselves........ :confused3 ........at this point I'm not going to think about it....they seem happy........ :) .........hopefully they will live! :smooth:

Come on Lucy! :cheer2: School is fun!! :rotfl:

I have a coworker who flew her only daughter to Tulane this weekend............her college was evacuated and closed so my friend drove her daughter back home and is now waiting for the college to reopen (see it COULD be worse, Lucy!) before she lets her return to school. :umbrella:

Jenny, are you guys in the line of fire with Katrina? I think Kathy's area is now safe?

Be careful out there, everyone..................... :grouphug:

JoAnn Apparently, we will see some of Katrina's effects tomorrow evening. We are predicted to get heavy rains, but that's about it.

Mark and I love New Orleans and are really bummed about the damage Katrina has brought. In fact, we are already planning to go next fall when the Bengals are there. We have been to the NCAA Final Four there. Mark three times (two before Jenny) and me twice (once before Mark). Interestly enough we were BOTH there when Indiana U. won the NCAA basketball championship. We didn't even know each other.......how weird!

Lucy ~ Give it time.........hopefully everything will settle down and you'll get into a routine. It takes a while when you have the "rhythm" broken.

Using Lucy's sign in again !! Jenny, I totally agree with you about New Orleans. I was there last year with Bryan's show choir and jazz band and we had the best time. The city is beautiful, hoping and praying the damage isn't too severe. I really want to take Lucy to see it some day. We had fun even with the kids, can't even imagine how much fun it would be with a group of adults (Hey ! sounds like a great place for a DIS meet to me !! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )
Hope everyone is well ! Take care!

I agree with you both Bob and Jenny. I went with two girlfriends to Mardi Gras in February of 1987 and it was so beautiful. Not just the french quarter, but we went out to the old plantations...some renovated and others were in their natural decaying state, untouched by anything but time and I'm thinking there's no way those could still be standing after the winds that went through there. It was a wonderful trip and I talked about it so much that Mark said he wanted to go there someday....I hope it will be as I remember it......... :sad2:
