Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

....happens in 2007.
Since I met everyone on the 7/30 cruise, I will NOT give up a cruise
with the DISers in 2007. If the cruise is 'pricey' we will not double-scoop
in 2006, we will wait for 2007.
Good grief, we already have Disney plans (since joining the DVC) for
Christmas and next June, and we MAY be doing a 3-day cruise with our
Music Assoc. in April. Everything is up in the air until Disney makes
"THAT" announcement. Bob and I were talking today (by phone, of course,
this is the only way we communicate since our musical practice has
begun!), we will go ANYWHERE with "the group"......don't care where it is.

Oh and I forgot to tell you...there is a Scoops on Staten Island, right near my house. I forgot about it, and I saw it on the way home one day last week. Of course, who did I think of... Next time you're on Staten Island, the ice cream's on me.

That sounds like a good plan, Lucy! I'm now looking at my bills and sighing! Boy did we have fun! I just put all my pictures away in the album and some picture frames. It was truly amazing how wonderful everything was and meeting such nice people. Thx again to all!!

Well folks...........first day back to work after 10 weeks. Am I ready? Well the kids will be coming in the doors to school in about 10 1/2 hours, so I'd better be ready!!! Sure wish I was back on the boat. I wanted to decapitate Mark Sunday night as I drove home from Cincy. His comment.... "well, everyone on the boat are dressing for formal night right now" didn't set too well with me!!

I sure miss you guys! I was telling my friends about all of you today. All good of course!

Joann picure frames, pictures, albums,??? You are my hero! I don't even have all of mine downloaded yet!!!

Lynn and Keith Welcome home!! I am sure your bodies are more messed up than ours with the time changes. My kids are finally back on schedule. We'll see how well when John has to board the bus at 6:50 a.m. tomorrow! He'll be hating life!!!

well, a day without Lucy, is like a day without sunshine (gag me, why
don't 'ya)!

Debi: my sugar free eskimo pies just aren't cutting it......you know,
it isn't that Scoops is the BEST ice cream in the world, it is the fact
that it is located on a cruise ship and I can walk up to it anytime and
say, 'please'......did I tell you I walked in front of a whole group of kids
from the clubs one day....no way can I wait when I want my ice cream.
I didn't even get to Scoops on the last day......too busy, my only
regret of the ENTIRE cruise. See you in S.I. - you owe me an ice cream! HI Micco

Jenny: there is NO way I could start school this week....I am NOT
mentally ready, and neither is Tyler - he is still sleeping till 10:00 in the
morning, Bryan till 12 noon. I don't know how in the world we are all going to get showers in the morning and all be ready to go. I know, sooner or later
we must do it, but let's make it later. As I'm walking around Walmart doing my grocery shopping and seeing all the school supplies, I turn away from them. It was a heck of alot more fun buying supplies for a cruise!
Don't be too rough on Mark, Jenny. It MIGHT mean he misses the cruise and wants to go again with all of us - looks like he is the only one we must all work on....hear that group - Mark needs to be convinced to go along with all of us in 2007!

JoAnn: you've already got your pictures in an album?!!!!! Let's just
say I have the albums, and I have the pictures, now if they could only get together, I would be organized too. JoAnn, I truly do hope somehow Disney does read comments on these boards about 18-21 year olds and how they
need to also provide them with entertainment.

Sorry I've been out of touch, I've been busy at school. they just finished replacing the rug and ceiling tiles. I was surprised to read about poor service and food. Our wait team was awesome, our server Alex we had last year and the assistant Thresa were very attentive, made super suggestions and performed magic tricks! I do agree that the last two menus were not my favorite and on thursday night i just had more salad, but over all was great and the added food to scoops, and outlook bar were super! I hope to get my pictures done this weekend. i let you know how the group one turns out! Can't wait to hear more about the 07 cruises!

Since you asked....!! and no one did....

I felt the dining room servers were short of what we had experienced in the past....It could be that we had made so much fuss over a previous server from the last cruise.... , If there was any problem with the menu
it was because as the cruise was terminating I was tired of all the fancy food... ..While Big Al generally has candle light ,table cloth, wine, extensive, multi course meals, the cruise does do it a little better
I felt the server in the cabin was very good... he was very informative,and
helpfull at times....Palo also had better than average servers...
I suppose it all depends on how lucky one is when we reported aboard..
I'm glad to hear all you teachers are getting "IT on" ....Back to work that is...
Let's really shape and mold those little ,"uhhh" childrens minds..

My year is good thus far. Anything is better than what I went through last year!!! They seem like a nice bunch of kids!

Next week the schools have Parent Nights. I will be at 1st grade on Monday, 3rd grade Tuesday, 6th grade on Wed., and my 4th grade night is Thursday!!! Whew!!

Joann and Wendy Good luck with your starting school. The first three weeks to me are crazy until everyone gets the hang of the routine.

We're off tomorrow in the afternoon for baseball---Reds vs. Arizona. I need a good game to relax with. Saturday I think the pool sounds good!!

JoAnn - Got the pics the other day, thanks so much, they are great. The one of you and me on pirate night looks like I am having wayyyyy tooo much fun and I had wayyyy toooo much to drink. LOL. I have a very similar picture and a great pic of your family. Now if I ever get around to mine. I will send you some soon. Unfortunately, Jenny, I have not started scrapping mine (alright I did a 2 pg layout) because I have a book I am working on for someone that I have to finish otherwise I will feel guilty. But I am almost done.

Although my girls don't start school till after Labor Day, I have been busy holding Scrap Camp this week with 6 kids. I give a lot of credit to you teachers, I don't know how you do it every day with 25+ kids. This is tiring. Next week I only have 3, but hey it helps pay the bills. LOL.

Lucy - Alex has a friend going to Kutztown in the fall. Oh and you're on for that ice cream!!!

Micco seems to think Disney is going to do the west coast as an itinerary in 2007 rather than the Med, since it has already been tested. What do you guys think? I would be a little disappointed, because now I have myself psyched up for a Med cruise. Oh well, just think, tomorrow the Magic is on her way back home.

Jenny - So Mark is the one we have to work on. sounds like he already missing us!!! So this ones for you Mark, Mark, Mark You need to come to the Mediterranean (or anywhere else for that matter) with us in 2007. I need my margarita buddy!!!!!

I have my FINAL vacation day today, before the rush starts next week.
NO, school doesn't start till the 29th but next week is when all the
professors return that I haven't seen all summer and want everything
done. Also, my boss decided to have new carpeting installed and they
are doing it next week (my office is in a cape-cod house), meaning
everything must be cleared from the rooms.....let's just say I went out
last night and had 2 wines (with memories of our wine tasting-oh, was
that fun!) and took the day off today. I 'thought' Bob and I could spend
today together but he has musical practice today...oh, well, i still needed
the day off. He is still in alot of pain, poor guy.

Mark: don't you miss us?! Wouldn't you like to see us all again?
We miss you!....surprise your wife and book the 2007 cruise without telling
her, ok, sweetie?!

Debi: If Alex' friend needs help in any way....please PM me and I'll
get in touch with her and maybe I can help her adjust (to the country life!).
Speaking of ice cream: the other day my friend Cathy showed up in my
office, by surprise, with a strawberry sundae....do you know what that was
like for me?!!!!!!!! 2:00 in the afternoon and having my sundae....as she
said, it wasn't Scoops, but it WAS great. (I have a great picture of
Micco and me at the Captain's Castaway Party!).

JoAnn: I want to thank you too for the pictures - I'll be getting some
prints made of mine and passing on too because goodness knows I'll never
learn to put them on the computer! I have some great couple pictures...
and a picture of all those glasses at the wine tasting! That WAS fun!

David: I love the start of your pictures....please continue.....seems like you are the 'techy' in our group.

Wendy: good luck in your new school....I, as a parent of an 8th grader, am ready to send you my kid.....they've had enough time off and they are really getting bored at home. THEN comes the pounding at night
to get their homework done.....grrrrrr....the routine begins.

Lynn: are you back in school or still traveling - don't forget our group - even though you are travelling at Christmas again...we still want to hear from you and Keith. I'll never forget Keith's "frog" shirt....

Lucy-I'm still around, just been busy. Ryan started school last week. He loves his teacher--she's a very kind, mature woman...gives the kiddos a hug on the way in the morning and a hug on the way out in the afternoon. She is tough though, which is just fine by me. Drew starts preschool next month. I was in Palm Springs this past weekend (boy was it HOT there). Anyway, I had a dream I was on the cruise ship again, but alas I awoke and no such luck!

David-your pics look great so far, want to see the rest!!!

Liz probably hasn't posted because unfortunately JP's mom passed away last weekend, so I think they have their hands full.

I emailed pics to Kathy and Debi from horseback riding in Mazatlan...hopefully you guys got them!
