Hi Everyone,

We miss you all! I'm sorry I missed Pub Night and a chance to say "good bye" to everyone. We picked up Owen and Amy from the Club at 9:30pm and got them to bed by 10:00pm. I had some time to kill before Pub Night began at 10:45pm so I layed down to watch CNN for a few minutes and it was evidently lights out for me! I awoke to our Mickey wake up call at 6:00am. I was so bummed. I looked for everyone in the morning but I didn't get a chance to see JoAnn and Ken, Lynn and Keith, or Lucy and Bob.

Ted and I want to thank you all for making this our best cruise yet. It was so much fun to get to know you all. We had such a great time. 70's Night (and Bill's performance in particular) was a highlight for sure!

Debi and Micco, we had so much fun with you guys! Ted really enjoyed the cigar evenings. We'll definitely be in touch when we pass through your neck of the woods next week.

Lisa, Owen is so excited to have made a new friend from California. He really enjoyed his play date with Ryan and he looks forward to seeing him again next summer.

JoAnn and Ken, I'm excited that you're booked to cruise with us on 24 June 2006! Lets try to talk some of these other folks into joining us as well.

Lucy and Bob, We're definitely going to book the Med in 2007 with you guys.

Tomorrow I'll face the unpacking and mountain of laundry.

Kathy

It was so much fun!!Like Lisa, I am bummed that it is over. I can't wait to do it all over again :earsboy: Hope everyone has a safe trip back!

Liz

Hey Kathy- sorry we missed you to say goodbye.....the true culmination was "Bill" night - did we laugh or what??

I say ditto to all your comments, it was a very special week for us too! :sunny:

We're back!!

Just arrived home (at 1:oo a.m.) The kids are in bed sounds asleep and I am not long for the world as well.

Well guys, I just have to say "THANK YOU" for making our trip extra special. I am so amazed at how much fun we had. It's like we have known each other for years!!! Mark and I both talked all the way home (my poor mother had to listen to it all) about the great times!!

Dearest Bill Your performance was truely the highlight of the activities! :rotfl2: I sure wish I could be as lucky as Joann to have parents who are so "cool" like you and Alice!! You both are so special!!

I will miss you all! Let's keep this thread going for a while as I would like to hear about your trips home.

We had to RUN to our connection in Cincinnati tonight.......if you could only see those kids running with Mark and I FAR BEHIND about to keel over!!! John stopped the lady from closing the gate and we got on the airplane to Indy! Unfortunately, not one piece of our luggage made it (eight bags)! Oh well, it will be nice to have someone hand deliver it to our door and I am not sitting here freaking out about the laundry (yet!). Hopefully it does arrive safely.

I definitely want a shot of the group that toured Matz. that Frank took. He didn't get my camera button pushed all the way, so I don't have one. I will look through and send some out.

Lucy Are you able sometime to e-mail me a list of everyone's e-mail? No hurry.......... BTW congratulations again to you and Bob on your new "vaction home"!!!!! You're going to love it!!!

cheers!

Kathy-Ryan had a great time with Owen also, it will be neat for them to re-connect when you come back to CA next year!!!!

OKAY, so I'm noticing your comment to Lucy and Bob...Med in '07....do you guys think the Magic is heading that way? Danielle told me that the Magic will not be doing 7 day Caribbean sailings in the summer of '07 but she didn't know what or where it would be going.....so what's the rumor?!?!

Hello all,
We arrived home around 10 pm last night after an uneventful trip (thank God). I was up late doing laundry and early this morning, as Briana is heading up to Lake George this morning. Turns out Alex's friend can't go and she can't find anyone else to go, so guess who's driving Briana up there. Just what I needed today, to spend 10 hours on the road. Glad I took tomorrow off from work, oh well.

I just want to see what a great time we had, Micco could not wait to get on the board to post his message. Our trip was made extra special by all of you. I am so glad that we have made so many new friends, I feel like you are all family. The laughs we shared and the memories we made will last a lifetime.

Lisa - Yes, rumor has it that Disney will be sailing the Mediterranean in 2007, possibly out of Barcelona, Spain. Some of us have been talking and would definitely like to do that trip. I even have DD Briana talked into it already.

Unfortunately though we will not be able to plan a Disney cruise (or any cruise for that matter) with you guys for 2006, as we promised her that if we went this year we would not cruise next year. I really need to keep my promise. Plus, we have a big Sweet 16 party next year for her, so that is kind of our cruise, if you get my drift. LOL.

Jenny - My margarita buddy, I don't know if I have a shot of all of us from Mazatlan, I will have to check my pics a little more closely. I will send you what I have. Maybe David or Lynn have something, let's hope so.

Also, if anyone has a picture of us from the wine tasting, could you please send it to me, that's when my card went dead on the camera.

Bill - One of the best memories of this trip will be 70s night, :rotfl2: I wasn't sure who to watch that night, you or Alice, because she was laughing so hard, she was crying. It was awesome.

I am glad that most of you are safely home, I know David and Kelly and the kids were spending a few days in Disney, so let us know when you get home. Lynn and Keith were heading to San Fran for a week, so please let us know when you arrive back safely across the pond. It was so much fun getting merry with you guys, I don't ever think I'll get drunk again. LOL.

I can't wait to sort through my pictures this week, I will send you all copies of anything I have, and if you guys could do the same, that would be great. I can't wait to start my scrapbook.

THIS WAS THE BEST VACATION EVER, NEW PLACES, NEW FRIENDS. I LOOK FORWARD TO DOING IT AGAIN WITH YOU!!! :grouphug:

I miss you all, yes I was a blubbering idiot in the car on the way to the airport. But like Micco said, yesterday wasn't goodbye, it's till we meet again....

Debi

I have goosebumps sitting here reading all your threads and how I am
going to miss each and every one of you.

Our trip home was also a disaster, Jenny. Our connecting flight in Atlanta was late getting in - I can't believe how big that terminal is - had to race (RUN!) to our gate, get to our gate, and it has been changed to another
gate, let's just say we had SIX minutes to get to our flight - they closed
the doors behind us. NOW, at this point, we have had NO FOOD (if I
see one more "Sun Chip" or peanut I'm gonna be sick!)....it is 9:00 in the
evening, our flight takes off and I bet our friend our luggage is NOT with
us!!!! WELL, I'm right. Get to Philly at 11:00 at night - the last two
flights from Delta are waiting for THEIR luggage - things aren't looking good.
To make a long story short.....we have NO luggage either, Jenny.
Had to file a claim...SHOULD be delivered today (all 7 bags) - AND, at this
point, all food areas in Philly are closed. The kids are starving. Tyler gets
sick on the way home from the airport, really sick. We arrived at our house
at 3:15 AM. This was the longest day of our lives!

Kathy: we are SO sorry we missed you to say goodbye. I feel very incomplete not saying goodbye to you and your family.....
Bill: Words can NOT explain..... :rotfl: :rotfl:
Lisa: We put all our heads together and it truly sounds like the
Med. in 2007.....no matter what, we MUST do that trip together.....everyone:I would be so sad to go on another Disney cruise without you.
JoAnn: the biggest thanks for starting the thread.....it was truly a magical thing to do :grouphug:
Debi: YOU ARE great! you have a wonderful family too. Bob just talked about visiting you in the near future at your store (will you cry again?! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )
Jenny: tell Mark we appreciate his advice on the vacation club!
Wendy, David, Liz: thanks for being a part of our group - it made
the trip more magical.
HEY, I could write all day long.....I have nothing else to do - my house is
clean, and I have NO laundry to do! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
but it is 1:10 PM and we haven't eaten since yesterday morning....to the
grocery store for me. Bob must work tonight from 4-9, sale at JCPenney!
Thank goodness I took off tomorrow - hopefully the bags will arrive by then.
I've learned several things on the cruise:
1) I met the greatest, most fun group of people I have ever met in my
life! :love1:
2) I will stay on these DIS boards till we find out about our next cruise
together :disrocks:
3) I will never fly Delta again or use the Philly airport! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I LOVE YOU ALL! :love2:

Hi All
Sorry to hear about lousy trips home ( Jenny and Lucy!) I hope others went well. we were able to fly standby on the 11 am out of long beach to boston so we saved a day! We weren't suppose to leave until 9 pm!
I'm now in the middle of my 7th load of laundry!
It was so great to meet all of you.1 I won't forget 70's night, maragrita tasting and our canopy tours! We signed up for the 6/24/06 cruise, but we'll probably change once we here about the new plans!
So who's going to write the first trip report?

Take care!
Wendy :cool1:

Hey all!

I am covered in laundry here!! :guilty: All my bags are unpacked (all over the house!) Hey Lucy, we actually all made it back on USAirways into Philly with no real problems. Food was closing down as we arrived but we were able to get some salads and pretzels :teeth: to get us home.

Sorry but.....KEN AND I bumped up to FIRST CLASS!! :bounce: It was the second time we have ever been there (it was nice to see how the other half lives!) :confused3 there was an upcharge but our flights were on points so we went for it. The kids were alittle jealous but after 25 years of marriage, we figured we earned it.

All in all, since a lllloooonnnnggg flight, so glad we're home!! :bitelip:

Hey DEBS, let's make plans for NYC soon, I'm always about a theatre visit there....how about Fall???

I'm sure Mom and Dad (you know, the cool people :love2: ) would love to have everyone down for Labor Day weekend. :earboy2: They're not home yet, so let me invite you all :grouphug: to their place that weekend. I'm sure they won't mind! princess: Just let me know if you can make it and we'll have a little cruise reunion!! :love1:

Keep in touch!! :earsboy:

Just got back from my trip up to Lake George, left at 9:15 this morning and just got home 1/2 hour ago. Feel like I have been traveling for 2 days straight. On the way home, I spoke with Micco and he tells me our AC is out, great. It's hot as hell in here, feel like I am back in Mexico. Good thing I took the day off tomorrow, will have to get that fixed.

Lucy and Bob - Sorry to hear about your flight home (you too Jenny). next time maybe you should fly Continental out of Newark with us. Whenever you guys want to come visit and see the store, just let me know, I will give you directions. And I promise not to cry. :rotfl:

JoAnn and Lucy - Whenever you guys want to do the city, let us know, we can make plans for whatever you are up for...we are easy.

JoAnn - Labor Day weekend sounds like a plan, we are up for it if it is ok with Bill and Alice. Sunday would probably work better for us, but just let us know. We will bring the Boars Head hot dogs (only the best around) and beer!!! Now I can bring food to this meet. LOL.

Did anyone hear the news about the California Screamin ride? Seems like it is going to be closed indefinitely while they do an investigation and refurbish the ride. We are so glad that none of us were on that ride when the accident happened, since a lot of us were in the park and rode it that day.

Well going to go cool off in the shower. Love to all.

Debi

Well it sounds like some of you got home great and others, not so great...sorry to hear about that!

Do you all still feel like you're "moving". I'm still on the ship, so to speak.

Now that I have some more time (laundry done, etc) I just wanted to say it was a great trip and I loved meeting everyone. I would have liked to hook up with more of you at the clubs in the evenings but with my 3 year old not fully potty trained yet, I didn't want to leave him in the kids club for too long, and he's a momma's boy, so in the cabin I stayed. But having said that, I'd love to see you all on another DCL cruise! DIS is just great, it really is.

Lucy-not sure if we could do the Med in '07, as much as I'd like to. Right now we're booked for Dec 9 '06 which is a double scoop castaway cay cruise. Not sure if we'll be pushing that out to '07. It all depends whether we're having a family reunion with Mark's family in '06. They're talking about doing a summer RCCL cruise to Alaksa, Caribbean or Mexico (God no, although that would be the easiest and cheapest for our family...cheap is good, I'd rather put my pennies towards an '07 DCL cruise). So we'll see.

Randi's Happy Horses people (Debi, Micco, Alex, Briana, Lynn, Keith, Ted and Owen)....I just wanted to say I had a blast with you all. Debi and Micco, your two girls had me laughing the entire time and we had fun trying not to trot together (Keith...you too). I found myself laughing the entire ride. And lunch at Victor's was great too!

I'm so glad I got to experience the Magic....now I'm jealous of whoever is staying in "my" cabin this week........

:love2: Lisa

Hello everyone!

We were so glad to meet . . . . . . well, we didn't officially meet any of you :confused3

That was the most disappointing part of the trip. We were out extremely late at Nobu the night before boarding. Nicolette Sheridan (Desperate Housewives) was at the table across from us. Not a huge celebrity sighting but it was interesting. The girls stayed up way late playing with their cousins, so they were asleep by 9pm that first night. That is an all time record for them!! We weren't able to make the meeting at Scoops, leaving us a tad sad. However, we were one of the first to arrive at the port and saw a few of who we thought were from this little group. The green shirts may have been the give away. Actually sat next to a family at that first lunch in Parrot Cay who we THOUGHT were one of you, but didn't have the nerve to approach. Saw them again at Palo on Monday for brunch but again, in our hearts we are pretty shy folk. We found ourselves looking around at dinner to see if anyone match descriptions but . . . . . disappointing!

We did have a wonderful cruise. Having only been to TJ before we were pleasantly suprised with the ports. We were a left a little wanting for more beach activities though. Having been to Jamaica and Puerto Rico, we missed the white sands and calm, clear, warm waters. To which, we booked an Eastern cruise next September. Then we heard of the new itineries and switched on Friday to the 11 day cruise on September 17th. St Thomas, Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, St Kitts, and of course Castaway Cay. It should be an unbelieveable cruise if we don't switch back to the September 2nd cruise.

We made record time home - 4 1/2 hours - unheard of. We didn't hit a single traffic problem on the 110, the 91, the 60, or the 10. Purely impossible!

Glad that to hear you all had a chance to meet and had an enjoyable trip. Wish we could have been there too!

The laundry is done and the drycleaning is ready to go out in the morning....I dread that bill! Owen and Amy had a birthday party at 11:30am and we have overnight guests tonight...a med school classmate and his wife and three kids! It's great to see them but I'm so tired. Their impending visit got us up and going early this morning to get the unpacking and laundry done. Ted and his friend just finished smoking a couple of cigars from the trip in the backyard.

I'd love to get together with you all again soon. A NYC theater weekend sounds like fun to me.

Wendy, JoAnn and Ken and Ted and I are booked for 24 June 2006 so if you do decide to cruise that week...

Debi, I don't think my AC is working properly either. It's under warranty so I think I'm going to have it checked this week.

My week will be busy...our house guests will leave tomorrow afternoon. The kids and I will join them at the beach on Tuesday and then at Busch Gardens on Wednesday. I'll be packing on Thursday and off again on Friday.

Kathy

Our luggage officially arrived at 8:30 p.m. tonight. I have to admit, now that we have everything, it was nice 1)to have someone deliver it and carry it and 2) have at least one day not to have to stare at dirty laundry! But, I need to get some done as John is still walking around in the same pair of shorts that he put on after his last stateroom shower yesterday a.m.!! That was all he had besides the ones in his bag!

Debi and Joann NYC and theatre??? Wow that sounds like a blast! Haven't been to NY since 1979, so I am due!! Surely I could find a MARGARITA out there, right Deb?? :drinking1 I was so tired of waiting yesterday at LAX (we arrived at 10:30 a.m. for a 3:30 p.m. flight), so I had a margarita (or was it three of them???) :rotfl2: Sure slept good on the long flight!!

Joann Wish we could join you at the shore Labor Day, but does the offer stand for a while??? I think that would be a blast!

I hope to enjoy my last week of no work! School starts next Tuesday! :(
