JoAnn & Ken Congrats on 25 years.

I haven't been on the board in 2 days, and boy there is so much chatter, sounds like everyone is psyched. Board had been quiet for awhile, there was a lot to catch up on. Jenny, glad your son made it to Fl ok, my DD just arrived about 1/2 hr ago for her DW trip, the girls were so excited.

Wendy - we are definitely booked with you guys for the Canopy Tour, I just cancelled my tour with Disney.

Lynn - DH sent an email to Franks to see if we can get on the tour with you, we are just waiting for a response back.

Was just looking online to see what we can do in Cabos, I wanted to do either the Santa Maria Sail and Snorkle or Chileno Bay, but they are not available. No massages either during sea days. Do you think they left some excursions and spa treatments so you can book when you get on the ship? is it worth trying to go and book them. I am so stupid for not booking at least my spa sooner. We were very undecided on the Cabos excursion until now.

Anyway, we are supposed to leave from DL for the port at 10, but now I am thinking to push it up to 9:30. We have breakfast ressies for 8, I wonder if that is pushing it...

Weather here has been awesome, finally got a little sun, so I am not totally white like a ghost.

Debi

Happy 25th JoAnn and Ken!

Our weather is nice, not....I doubt we'll have any concerns about cool weather on our cruise. It's 10am and our A/C has kicked in several times already, which means inside the house it's 75 degrees. :sunny:

Have a great day everyone!

Joann and Ken Congratulations on 25 years!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have watched religiously for the UPS man today. If he misses me, he has instructions to leave the docs with my neighbor. I WANT THOSE DOCS!! He has driven by THREE times. He knows us, so it's just he hasn't quite gotten to our packages. I had to look at that note on my desk all weekend and it was driving me nuts!!! :earseek:

Weather.........well it appears that Dennis' remnants are heading here. It's been quite overcast today. Really not too bad though. At least the kids can get out and don't have to contend with the hot sun. :sunny: It's suppose to rain now all week. :umbrella:

The kids just got home from Bible School, so they are going to be tired tonight. I had three hours of solitude!!! I went to my classroom and started preparing....... :teacher: Sounds crazy, I know, but we start school a week after the cruise!! :earseek: :earseek: I don't want to have to come back and freak out over laundry and school!!

I am continuing that cleaning binge already today! What is it with vacations and clean house????????

No docs here in Washington yet, :confused3 but I looked up my rez on DCL website and have finally gotten our stateroom assignment. It’s 2136, not far from Lisa,Mark,Liz and JP. We’re currently booked for PV-03 12:40pm Paradise Beach Adventure, MZ-12 10am Folkloric Show & Beach Break and CL-12 9am Santa Maria sail & Snorkel. We’re thinking of canceling the last two and going with Mazatlan Frank’s City & beach tour, then skipping Cabo as reports say the snorkeling is not that good. Before the cruise we’re at the Courtyard Marriott in Long Beach and after the cruise we’re headed to DLH for four days. Any tips on Disneyland tours would be great. DW wants to do the after hours Mystery(?) tour.

Debi check out the cruise reports, everything I’ve read says Cabo snorkeling is cold and the water is not as clear as the first two stops. Just a heads up, we’re booked because I really wanted to snorkel somewhere, but we’ll most likely cancel and figure an alternate excursion. If you still want to go, send me a PM and we can coordinate my cancellation so you can get in. My rez is for 2 adults and 2 kids age 10+.

Joann and Ken happy Silver Anniversary.

All, Anxiously awaiting the UPS man. It’s like Christmas in July.

We're set to go! I booked the "Welcome to Disneyland" tour. It's $25.00 per person with 20% off for Disney Visa card members. The tour meets at Guest Services in Disneyland at 10:00am and lasts for about 2 1/2 hours. It includes priority seating to either Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular in DCA or Disneyland's Parade of Dreams. It also includes 2 Fastpasses and a PS restaurant reservation.

We didn't have internet access this morning....it was driving me crazy
not to read our thread!!! Left work at 1:00 for a pre-surgery visit
for Tyler (13 yr. old) - he must have FOUR baby teeth removed next
Tuesday...yuck! FINALLY I get the chance to read the threads (should
be preparing dinner, yea, right - it is fried chicken salad night!!!)..
OK, let me catch up:
JOANN and KEN: Congrats - are you also throwing an anniversary
party, along with your parents, in the Walt Disney Suite - we are
available - you name the time. Your father mentioned something about
picking up the 'tab' for a party :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Lisa: does this mean I WON'T need to bring a sweatshirt for DL in the
evenings? :cold:
littleowensmommy: isn't it a great feeling (being set?!!!) :cheer2:
JoAnn: cleaning the cabinets? :sad2: I'll move when it is time for that!
macbaby: wish I had YOUR problem....dressing boys has never been fun for me....I always wanted that little girl! princess:
Debi: glad your daughter arrived safely.....she'll have practice for all that heat we will have in Mexico! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
Crowncaster: good luck on the UPS truck!
Wendy: speaking of work....I made my husband PROMISE me I wouldn't hear the words "Beauty and the Beast" for 2 solid weeks!
He is directing our high school play in the fall and his excitement for the
show is really working on my nerves! :rolleyes1
Lynn: any tickets? One of my professors is taking a group of students
to Buckinghamshire College, leaving today....they have alot of plans to
be in London and were counting on the trains..oh, well, guess they will
do alot of walking. :moped:

Kathy-Long time no post! How are you? Glad to hear you got your docs. Still no docs here! :sad2: I hear the DL tour is really good. We got just got APs so we'll have to try that out in the fall.

David-you're very close just on the port side. Everyone says if your on Deck 2, the aft is the best place to be, since the stairs are so accessible and the dining rooms are one floor above. I'm all about walking when possible. I can only imagine how many calories we will consume! :earseek:

Lucy-bring the sweatshirt...many California evenings cool down. Better be same than sorry! :sunny:

Thx to all for your congrats.............it's nothing short of a miracle!! :rotfl2:

Hopefully tonight we will do something special to celebrate....... :earseek:

Next Saturday when my youngest DD is back from camp we will celebrate with a special dinner at the Borgata in Atlantic City with the "rents" on both sides. We are extremely grateful to celebrate!!!

No docs but I am presently not at home so in a few days, THEY BETTER BE THERE!!! :smooth:

CAN I JUST SAY THAT I LOVE SUMMER!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi Lisa,

We're all fine here in VA. The weather has been hot so I took the kids to the beach for a couple of days.

Are we still planning on a wine tasting or margarita tasting while on board? If so does anyone know when they are offered?

This Wednesday is my Amy Q's 4th birthday. She's having a Princess Ariel pool party at our club on Sunday.

Lisa, two years ago on our Disney Cruise, the Mickey Pool was closed for cleaning one morning. There was a sign roped across the area saying something to that effect. Owen couldn't read so he asked my husband what the sign said. Ted told him that it said "Johnnie Smith pooped in the pool". From then on, Owen made sure he went potty before he went in the pool.

I think we had several people interested in both wine and marg tasting. I figured by the time we meet at Diversions we'll all have had a quick chance to see when those are scheduled and we can decide when we're meeting.

I love the pool cleaning story. Maybe I'll be lucky to catch them cleaning the pool one morning too! I'll use the same line! HE's doing great with #1....#2 is another story all together. But we still have almost 3 weeks left!!!

And Happy 4th Birthday to AMY!!!!!

Boy, I'll have to check out all this cleaning before leaving stuff.... :rotfl:
I suppose the logic is ,should someone break in ,and the poolice came,
how would it look on the report.....!! that the bathroom was a mess, kitchen floor dirty .....it's all in the report :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :rotfl2:

I know my Alice will worry about it.....is it a Italian thing?? :listen:

We got our's..... :dancer:

After chasing the UPS man all day, I finally found my docs at the UPS terminal. :sad2: For some reason he did not deliver them :confused3 and took them back to the terminal. Lucky for him he had gone home for the day! ;) But, I have them now!!!!!!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

Love the pool cleaning story! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm sitting here at 7:45 in the morning picturing a woman chasing down
the brown UPS truck.....it IS a funny thought, you know! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

YES, we are signing up for the marg AND wine tasting, whenever we
can....good idea, let's plan at Diversions the first night.

SO glad everyone is getting their docs.....except the west coast and
the UK????? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Jenny, how is Tropical Storm Dennis coming along in your neighborhood.
We dealt with Hurricane Cindy on Friday, it was a little nasty, but over
quickly.

Kindof glad we are NOT sailing in the Carribean this summer.

Me chasing the Brown truck........yes a sight for sore eyes! DH worked late and I am guessing it's because he knew that I was NOT HAPPY with that darn truck driver.... :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I have to admit that Dennis is really doing us a favor. :umbrella: We haven't had rain for a long time and the crops here were really in crisis. We have had a nice steady rain for about 12 hours now. I have all of my plants sitting out on the deck. No storms, lightening, thunder, anything, so we feel double blessed. I feel so badly for those in the south who were not so fortunate. I continue to keep them in my thoughts........

I am definitely into the tasting idea. We'll have to check out the navs and see!! :rolleyes1

HI,
I'll definetly be joinig the marg. and wine tasting! I think I need one now! my principal just called to tell me that our brand new school had a fire last night and my room was under the rooms burned and all my boxes have water damage! I need to go next week and do inventory! I can't even begin to imagine what I lost! Hopefully it won't be too bad.
Debi: In cabo we're going to go to the Melena beach and snorkel and go onthe wave runners and then take the Land's End coastal cruise to the Arches. I did speak to a DM and they said they save space for on board ressies in all areas. we we're not able to book a Palo dinner and now we'll do in onboard. At least that way we'll have our dinner rotation.
Hope you all have a better day!
Wendy : :teacher:

Wendy-well that stinks. So, how does a fire start in a new school? I'm assuming it was an electrical thing, not intentionally set. Hopefully you'll be able to salvage a good majority of your things.

I just realized I have to do back to school shopping for DS7 before the cruise because he starts school again on the 10th which only gives me a few days after the cruise...and I'm assuming we'll still be too much on a cruise high after we get home to focus on shopping. HA HA!

No docs here yet........................................

Kathy - Very funny pool story, great line and it worked!!! Happy birthday to Amy!

Jenny - You chasing the UPS must have been hysterical, could just picture it!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Wendy - So sorry about your school, I hope you are able to salvage most of your things. I know how much time and money as teachers you put into your work, it is definitely a labor of love. Thanks for the info on ressies, I will definitely check when we get onboard. We may just go hang out at a beach that day instead of doing an excursion, it may be nice just to relax rather than running running running.

My kids don't start school till after Labor Day, so this vacation comes at just the right time.

But we are definitely up for the wine and margarita tasting. I will be tasting margaritas all week, by the time I get onboard until they say I can't have them anymore. LOL.

Glad most of you have your docs :Pinkbounc , how we doing out west and across the pond?

Debi

but I just saw one of 'those brown trucks' at lunch......Jenny, your
story started me laughing all over again.

Hey, Lynn - I bet you have NO IDEA what we are talking about with the brown trucks, do you?

Wendy - that is HORRIBLE - thank goodness the children weren't in school.

princess: :bday: Happy, happy birthday to Amy Q!

Lisa: That is depressing, school starting already Aug. 10.....better start school shopping, I'm not even going to think about it until a week before
school, which starts Aug. 29, for all of us. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
What is really sad, all the clothing in the stores right now are fall clothing (do your seasons change like our seasons in retail?)

Lucy-our stores do change with the seasons in the sense we go from shorts and short sleeves to pants and long sleeves. Twice a month I work at Gymboree-the kids clothing stores (no, not for the money, but the 40% discount!) and the current new line in the store had long pants and long sleeve shirts, so "fall" is officially here. HA HA!

UPS is worldwide, so they should have brown trucks in England but I wonder if they're delivered by FED EX instead? (My neighbor works for UPS and the wife works for FED EX, they taunt each other jokingly around the neighbors.)

Wow, so sorry to Wendy for the fire story, what a way to mess up your summer break!! At least you have our cruise to take your mind off of it!!! :cool1:

DH is going home tonight to check for documents.........they better be there!! :Pinkbounc
