The only Brighton outlet store I know of is in Cabazon, CA--which is near Palm Springs--well as near as anything is to Palm Springs. I haven't been there yet, but have heard good things about it.

Liz

Thanks for that link Lisa--I knew you would find something!!

I hope they get rid of the stomach flu bug before we get on--that would be a complete drag :sad2:

Are people not liking the food as well?? I haven't read those posts.

Have a great weekend everyone :earsgirl:

Liz

Liz-A few people had mentioned in their reports that they didn't like the food as much as when they went on Disney Caribbean cruises. Hey, if I'm not making the food, I'll like it. And I haven't met a dessert yet that I didn't like (well, very rarely anyway).......... :teeth:

Somehow everything tastes better when you aren't the one cooking it--so I am with you on that one :goodvibes

Liz

The folks are in the PM for the beach trip, Lucy (PB?). I might be going then too b/c I think I'm too scared to do the canopy trip! :confused3

Hello all. Seems like time is starting to fly by. By reading some of the reports, some sort of stomach virus is going around the ship. Hope all is gone by the time we board. Almost all our plans are set except for our ground transportation. I have a few LA limo service web sites, but if some of you California folks can recommend someone. I would rather deal with someones positive feedback. Hope all is well with everyone. Thanks for any info!

I have read about the stomach flu onboard...it's making me nervous, not for the adults, but the kids (which then ultimately trails back to the adults). They're not as diligent on washing their hands particularly when they're away from us (i.e. in the clubs). My older one is usually good, but they 3 year old needs prompting still.

I haven't had much experience with limos but for shuttle service I can recommend PrimeTime Shuttle and SuperShuttle.

We just had an earthquake, 5.6, centered about 6 miles from my house....it was long and rolling, sounded like a train coming!

Lisa
Someone must have been listening to me I was talking with my cousin on the phone and his sister lives in CA. I said the only thing I didn't want to experience of all the things shes told us about would be an earthquake, I don't know how you guys live with the prospect of quakes all the time. I take it from your casual post that no real damage was done and it wasn't life threatening, I hope you are all ok

I felt it this morning too--it was a long one that is for sure. It was ironic, because I was sitting at the computer reading a story about a tornado that hit Wisconsin.

You don't have any damage right Lisa?

Liz

Hey all! Check out the trip reports, there are some excellent reports about excursions on that thread... I'm going to get a guide book to update me on what to check out...... :cool1:

As soon as school lets out on Wednesday......I'm going to check out transfers for our trip..........if I find out anything, I will send it along.................. :goodvibes

Count me in for the earthquake this morning. It was a loooonnnggg one, long enough for me to walk to the back of my house and check on my mother. It actually felt like two separate earthquakes. Having lived through earthquakes and a tropical storm verging on a hurricane, I'll take the earthquake any day - over quickly and most often (knock on wood) little damage.

JoAnn I booked a limo from the Hyatt to the port, and then port to LAX. I did a lot of homework. Try looking at limos.com if you are interested in limo service. They even "school" you on limo services. You are almost done with school!! Good for you! Now you can focus on more "important" things!!!!!

Lisa and Liz I thought of you this evening when I heard of the earthquake. I hope all is well for everyone.

Bill How about your PHILLIES!! They are really rocking! Something has really turned that club around!!! :cheer2: I saw Sammy Sosa hit two home runs today in Cincy, but the Reds still beat the Orioles two out of three (a bit shocker)!!! Unfortunately, they are in Boston the next three days! :sad2:

Isn't Lucy at WDW right now? I so evy her!!!

Nemo Check out limos.com. It was helpful in getting company names and phone numbers to call. There are some reviews, but not that many.

JoAnn,
Any info you could get us on transfers or limo service would be great. it seems like it was so easy when we went on DCL on the Eastern Carribean. Liz and Lisa, hope all is well and there was no damage to your homes. We heard about the earthquake here.
I really hope that flu thing goes away, that would be a bummer! We have also been hearing that the last night on the way back, the seas are pretty rough. Not looking forward to that at all! I am not worried about the food, nor the staff or anything else, I am just looking forward to a GREAT vacation in Disney style. We all know that Disney will do its best to take care of us!!! When you come from NYC, food is always an issue where ever you go. We do have some of the best food in the country right here in NYC, you can't get better pizza or bagels anywhere (amongst other things)!! I was in LA last year with my DD, Alex and the food was awful, but we managed to survive. We tend to make the best of it wherever we go, and when we are hungry enough, we will always find something to eat!! LOL.
Today was the first day I actually got to sit out in the sun for a little bit. It has been so HOT here the past week, we really didn't have a spring. I got a little color, have to work on that base tan before the trip or I am going to burn like a lobster..... :cool1:
Debi
Sorry signed in under my DH.

Great weekend ,good weather , spent time on beach with JoAnn, which brings to mind.... guess who is coming up on 25 years married..!! :rotfl2: :Pinkbounc   :jumping1: :dancer: :thewave:
Talk about long shots................!!

I'm mostly stunned concerning the PHILLIES.... :confused3 what happening is beyond me....!even the local sports shows appear to be at a loss when it comes to explaining it....after all ,they exist on" bad news"...God Bless....

Remember Jenny ...them Red's got no place to go but up.....!! I love it when the stuggling teams start upsetting the "supposedly" better teams... :teeth:

Could we arrange for those earthquakes be canceled....!! Enouf with these "Natural" disasters.....!! :sad2:

When is your anniversary JoAnn? We already have birthdays in common, but by any chance is your anniversary July 22nd. That will be our 10th! :bride:

Jenny: wow! We are married 25 years on 7/11! So close!!

Thx to all for the limo tips.......I'm going to take care of this as soon as school lets out on Thursday..........whooooooppppppppeeeeeeeeeee!!

:rotfl:

The epicenter was only about 5-10 miles from our house so we really felt it. All I'll say was I was "indisposed" at the moment it hit so I wasn't able to "take cover" (although that wasn't necessary). I'll agree with macbaby...it felt like two different earthquakes.

Having lived in TX with the threat of constant toronados, a hurricane here or there, the earthquakes don't bother me. They're so few and far inbetween that I can't remember when the last one was. I think TV dramas make earthquakes seem worse than they are. Of course, when the "big one" hits, that one will be bad. But we all go about our daily lives until then...it could happen tomorrow, it could happen in 40 years, who knows!

By the way, it has been chilly here the past few days........

My life is the pits right now.....our air conditioner broke, my daughter is graduating in direct sunlight at 4pm tomorrow and my school isn't air conditioned............what's with this weather????

:confused3
