ok, my brain is water-logged from the torrential rains we had this
afternoon, and hail.

AND, JoAnn, are you not speaking to me? I haven't seen the fish!
and, have YOU booked your transportation yet.....?

Lynn: I'm so sorry about the amount of school you have until our vacation.
Right now, the stress is OVER in this house (regarding school, that is!).

Wendy: I'm sure you will be able to get reservations on the ship - I
am crossing my fingers for you....I don't want you to miss it.

I'm not a big baseball fan, but my friend's husband played for the NY Yankees in 1996, and they won the world series that year. He brought his ring out (at our request) at their Christmas party last year. It was neat to see it up close and it was extrememly large and heavy. Not something one would wear around the house! Being from NY, my Dad is a HUGE yankees fan. My Uncle (Dad's brother) is a NY state Supreme Court Justice and his office has a view into Yankee stadium in the Bronx. My Dad tries to make up excuses to go visit him when games are playing, like the man actually has time to have his brother "visit" him!! Too funny. So, that's the extent to my baseball input! HA!

Hi Lucy! I mean, when we disembark, we all have to get up early. I think the ship pulls in at 7 or something? And I'm sure my boys won't be going to bed at their usual 7:30 bedtime while we're on the cruise. So, I'm anticipating with my 3 year old and those conditions...he's sure to have a meltdown especially if we stand in a long line! That's what's prompting us to get the passports!

Oh my goodness you have to check out Debs photos of PV she went on a ridng and hiking tour and the hiking bit went over some rickety suspension bridges I'm not good at heights and i would have freaked out if confronted with these.... you have to see these pics...

Actually, Lynn, a very dear friend of mine, has asked me to post info on how to post fish pictures.

I took a new job teaching in another school district. Instead of starting school the day after Labor Day, I start in mid-August. Oh well, it is a dream job and would only come along once in a lifetime.

macbaby We always start school mid-August. My theory is.....it's easier to start school earlier in August then it is to keep their attention in June. We are always out before Memorial Day!!!

Whew! I can't keep up with all the fish requests!!

I have sent out as many as I can. Thx to Jim for the posting fish posting info. I will figure it out when I have alittle more time (or maybe Dad could )

Anyway, I haven't arranged transportation or my passports. I'm thinking I will do all of this next week - my last day is the 15th. I know I'm getting close but it's hard to get the passport pics, etc. until the whole family is available on a weekday.

I'm not really following the Phils this year....I miss Larry!

Sorry about the weather Lynn....we know how you feel most of the year!! Right now we have gone from a cold Spring to a hot, humid, steamy early summer. Of course where I work there is no air conditioning so the children are really uncomfortable. So am I but I'm hoping to sweat off a few pounds and lose my appetite.....we'll see!!

Jenny, yep, I don't know much about baseball but I do know about the Yankees, especially with my Dad being FANATICAL about them. It was really need to see Matt's ring. That was the last year he played with them, so it was very special. He retired from baseball after that. He was in the minors for a long time and then got his big break with the Yankees. He said it was a tough lifestyle for the family and they are very strong Christians...so, they decided it was time to quit. He said he saw a lot of things in his time and once he hit the majors, he liked less of what he saw, if you know what I mean.....

My family has always been Yankee fans (remember, there is/was a
Bernie Williams on the team!, NO, no relation of course, but nice
last name!)

Wendy: maybe you want to get to the terminal early, so you can get on
the ship to get those ressies at PALO....you don't want to miss it. I know it sounds like we will be sitting a long time at the terminal, but maybe you want to have an early number to get on the ship - will you be in CA before sailing day?

May have forgot to mention that I have a second profession in addition to the Psychologist thing. I teach a statistics class for Psych majors and an Anatomy and Physiology class for a local junior college here in Phoenix. Both classes are taught over the internet so I get to work from home. So, kind of another teacher here.

Besides all the "Hollywood" celebs that shop at the Nordstrom here in Scottsdale, Shawn had an associate that worked for him in the off season. If anyone followed the St Louis Cardinals a few years ago, Bo Hart made it up to the big leagues for a season and started at second base for the better part of the year. It was very exciting to see someone succeed in their dream. Bo must have worked for three years during the off season. We have confidence that he will make it back up soon. Just a great kid!

Thanks Lisa, I found the site and it's very helpful.
We'll be in Disneyland for 3 days prior to the cruise so we can get to port early.
I was amazed to read how many time changes we go through! Good thing I don't have to work the week we come back until the 9th. I have to teach a teachers couse!

I've taken the liberties to send the pictures of the "Big Fish" (with Thongs)
to Ms Lynn... After all ,your so "busy ".... Graduations,trips,arranging transportation, planning shore events,school, shopping,cleaning (whoops)...Hmm let's move on....!!
I'm exhusted, working those elections are tough....!!5:30 to 8PM... all for 17% of the possible vote....!! These jersey folks just don't get it...!! the last election (Bush vrs "The other Guy"),,,brought out over 85% in the same ward..!!

Boy, it's boiling hot here at the "beach",and thats a rare event.... I LOVE IT....!!

Seriously, at MY school, it's been like 100 degrees with like 90% humity and did I mention NO AIR CONDITIONING?? The kids love it

I've given up eating, I'm trying to make the best of it!! Maybe lose a few.

As soon as school ends, I'm going into final trip planning overload.....watch out!!
