Hey guys,
I'm back, for now!
Busy, last two weeks.
Mom in hospital since Nov. 1st, travelling there everyday
working our real jobs
AND our musical is this weekend

AND GUESS WHO showed up at our show last night  :cheer2: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :grouphug:
Alex and Debs....what great friends we have. It was SO GOOD to see them again, even for a short time. They sat in terrible traffic from NY to reach Kutztown and see our show. It was TOTALLY the highlight of my night, and Bob's and TYLER'S - he was so shocked to see them. You should have seen that kid's smile when Deb and Alex saw him after the show...priceless.
Let me just say, BOB had a VERY successful night (again)...the show was totally amazing, worth the stress of the last 3 months? I'll let you know :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Today my schedule includes baking, cooking (for a party tonight), visiting mother in the hospital, grocery shopping, LOTS of laundry and back to the show tonight. Poor Bob's schedule really stinks this year, he must work his REAL job every day this weekend (early hours) and then be up all night with the show.

I'm really, really worried about Kathy. :grouphug:  :flower3:

Kudos to Bob for a great show. That was definitely the best high school performance I have ever seen. I know he gives his blood, sweat and tears for months to produce a show like that, and it shows. It was well worth the trip, Lucy - and seeing you guys was the icing on the cake (worth sitting in the traffic for). A lot of very talented kids. Tyler did a great job, he is such a good kid, and was definitely happy to see us there, he couldn't believe we drove all the way from NY to see the show! Anyway, Lucy didn't tell you the best part of the show - Tyler plays Aida's father and (if you haven't seen the play) there is a scene where he is in the boat, and they cut him loose from the dock - ok, here comes the best part - Tyler (using Flintstone power) turns that boat on the Nile into a motorboat and ZIPS :moped: (sorry can't find a speeding boat) across the stage. It was hysterical. When Alex and I were driving home, she was trying to tell her friend the story on the phone and the two of us could not stop laughing... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We had tears in our eyes.

JoAnn - Glad the girls enjoyed their w/e together. Too bad Tracy kind of spilled the beans...

Well, Jenny - is now tailgaiting at her Ohio/Michigan game, boy would I love to be there. I wonder if my friend's daughter is going. It was sad to hear the Michigan coach passed away yesterday, wonder how that will affect the team. And a big Rutgers game today...NJ finally has something to be proud of (sorry Bill )!

So I suppose I will get my butt beat in FF again this w/e, I am playing John. Unfortunately Bill - everyone does not get into the playoffs. It is the team in each division with the best record, and then I am not sure how the other team(s) get in, maybe next best record. Got to check the rules, but I know last year when I played I did not make the playoffs. I am in 3 different leagues this year, and I should make the playoffs with one of my other leagues (I am 8-2 right now) but you never know. Last week I had a really bad week and lost all my games, first time this year.

Alex is going to the Jets vs Chicago game tomorrow with one of her friends. Micco is away hunting, he left yesterday morning around 4, and will be back Monday night. I think I am going to try to motivate to paint the room in the basement tonight because Alex really wants to get moved into the apartment downstairs before Christmas.

Also, we are having a New Years Eve party. If any of you have no plans for NYE, and would like to come, we would LOVE TO HAVE YOU, so just let us know. It is always a fun time! It's my FIL's birthday, so we always celebrate in style. Plenty of margaritas, champagne...and a place to crash if you want to. Good coffee and bagels in the morning too, right Lucy!

Have a great w/e all!

Debi

Hey all............just back from the State Champs for our HS Boys Soccer Team...........THEY WON!!!!!!!!!! Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went b/c we aren't sure if it will ever come our way again while our kids are in school!!! :thumbsup2

My conferences are next week.........think Jenny last month!!

Congrats to Bob & family for their show, it sounds wonderful........WTG, Deb & Alex for attending!!!!

We will be in Fort Lauderdale, FL (actually returning) on New Year's.....Jess has a tournament there Christmas week, Tara will be going back for her second quarter as well............... :sunny:

Anyone else been Christmas shopping yet??? :cloud9:

Yes, as Debs told you, the show was AMAZING! Every performance was perfect (in all the years of our high school musicals, we have never been able to say each show got better as the weekend progressed, but it did) :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

YES, the boat scene, well, it was NOT "supposed" to be a comical part of the show....so, Debs, we slowed down the Nile River and the (motor) boat for the rest of the show! (you see, my friends, he kindof looked like Fred Flintstone moving the boat across the stage, and Friday night he moved it too quickly-he had to use his feet to take it across the stage) Tyler did a terrific job on his first speaking role....we were SO proud of him.

Jenny, listen to my hours this past weekend (you'll be amazed!), Friday night we got to bed at midnight, Saturday night we got to bed at 2 AM! (party), last night was the cast party, and we got home at 10:00 PM (we were at the school from noon until 10 PM yesterday). We were dancing up a storm at the cast party last night with the kids and my bones are feeling old today (older than usual).....my girlfriend and I finally sat in chairs, like the nursing home and aerobics classes, and did our dancing. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I'll be giving you alot more "board" time...I promise :grouphug:

Lucy - Glad to hear the show was a huge success and sounds like you had a great time, you party animal. Now you can get back to somewhat of a normal routine and get ready for the holidays.

JoAnn - I finally started a little of my Christmas shopping Saturday night, got 4 people out of the way, so it felt good. Oh and yes, I was thrilled that ES won DWTS. I hate the Dallas Cowboys, really really hate them, but I think he is a class act. Mario was too much the pretty boy for me!

OK Jenny - John isn't beating me too bad right now, not like you did....

Micco comes home tonight from as Alex puts it "his harvesting of animals". Great thing to do with 2 vegeterians in the house. Where did I get these kids from???

Have a good day all!

Debi

Congrats to Tyler & family........sounds like a really special w/e....

I hope Micco had a really bad w/e..........yikes...........I'm with the kids!!!

Where is Jenny???

What are everyone's plans for THXgiving??? :moped: :grouphug: :woohoo:

Hi everyone
Amazingly I won!!!

I'm afraid my computer has been really playing up the last couple of months (in fact right now I can't turn it off!) Whilst we were trying to get it working and cleaning up files etc we have accidently deleted all of our new york photos at least we think that's what happened so any of you who took pictures during our fun day in the city I would really love some copies, I'll pay for postage or you can e mail them to me
Thanks so much.
I'm a little gutted as I love my photos but at least I have the memories I mean how can I forget the seagull with dentures!!!

Love to Bob Lucy tell him and Tyler congratulations from across the pond
Debbie did Briana pass her tests Is the cruise on?
Jenny I've emailed Mark this week.
When is Thanksgiving celebrated I don't know how you manage 2 holidays so close together 4 weeks today we will be in Madeira for 2 weeks can't wait to get some sun
not much else to report speak to you soon
lynn

I just realised we still haven't heard from Kathy is everything all right?

Hey all, conferences are almost over......just 4 to go!! Hope all are well as you prepare for Thxgiving!!! :thumbsup2

Off today - jenny called and wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving - she is leaving for 'in laws' (I call it 'the firing squad') and won't have a computer...
I took a personal day today, thank goodness - baking up a storm.
tyler has a touch of strep throat so he missed school today and is home with me (can I EVER have a day alone at home)....visiting my mom in the rehab hospital today - she is very, very depressed, i'm worried about that now.

Bob asked if I would be at Walmart by 5 AM on Friday to get a 'bargain' for Tyler...OMG - whose day off is it?! he must be in at his store by 3:45 AM, so I guess I could make Walmart by 5 AM (well, maybe 6 AM).

i'll be back later.

Wow, I'm bummed b/c Jess has a tournament at 7am on Friday morning (1 1/4 hours away)....................I guess we'll all be up early that day! :guilty:

baked TWO kinds of cookies today - cut them out in shapes of turkeys (i have hundreds of cookies cutters), decorated them.
made peanut butter brownies with choc. frosting
made a pumpkin pie

visited my mom - not good day for her....she is getting more and more depressed - i'm really worried.
as I'm visiting my mom - Bob calls me at the hospital - oh, yea, oooopppsss,
had cell phone on, and tells me he is being sent somewhere again to train employees, this time in FLORIDA, in JANUARY, for a WEEK! of course he says, "can't you come along" - ME? during school, with Tyler at home needing to get to school, NO!!! I'm just a little depressed now myself.

shopped at Wallyworld, started bits and pieces of Christmas shopping, just little pieces, not the big "stuff" yet. Remember, I'm headed there Friday morning around 5:30 AM. ::yes:: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

Tyler is feeling a little better. I got lucky. This summer, the doctor gave me an antibiotic for him in case he developed an ear infection, like he usually does when he swims. WELL, he didn't need it this summer, so I started giving the antibiotic yesterday, and he is feeling a little better, except he has gone through 3 boxes of tissues!

Tomorrow we will have our Thanksgiving dinner at my cousin's house, I bring the desserts and sweet potatoes. Then we will visit my mom - hoping to take the boys tomorrow - it is NOT a fun place to visit, but she needs a little company. :grouphug:
What is everyone else doing? The one tradition Bob and I have is watching :happytv: the Macy's Parade, but it doesn't sound like it may happen tomorrow, with high winds and rain. :joker: :wizard: :worried: :scratchin

Hey Luce, what week is Bob going to FL???? Don't forget, you have your marathon race with Ken the first w/e in January.........I HOPE you've been training.........if Bob won't let you go.........we have room AT OUR BW VILLA!!!

Hope Mom is okay..........I hear ya........jkjkjkjk......seriously, give her a hug from all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grouphug:

Tara will be home tomorrow.........I've just heard that the inlaws are holding dinner for Tara who, hopefully, will arrive at around 4pm..............the "rents" are eating with my bro, who nobody has met, but what a crazy guy........if you all EVER decide to join us at the beach (maybe next summer.........maybe Lynn & Keith :wizard:  :teeth: will forgive me and join us for a week next summer at the NJ :cloud9:   shore.............. :) :) :teeth: :) :sunny: :) :) :cool1: ) and you can meet my bro and family!!!..........anyway they'll be w/him tomorrow........

JENNIIIIIEEEEEE????? WHY CAN'T YOU STOP BY AND SAY HELLO YOURSELF??

KATHY????????????? :hourglass popcorn:: :wave: :yay:

HI, Deb & family, have a wonderful holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

Conferences are over..........best year ever!!!!!!!! :teacher:

I give thanks for having all of you as my friends.....you all mean so much to us....I don't know what my life would be without having you all here for us....we've been thru bad times, good times, funny times, all together, even if it is on-line, we know we can count on each other. We love all of you!
:grouphug:  :woohoo: :wave2: :listen: :lovestruc  :chat:

My favorite part was the funny times............. :thumbsup2 :grouphug: :woohoo:  :moped: :yay: :hourglass :cloud9: :rotfl: :happytv: :lmao: :rotfl2:
