I'm glad Bob offered because I'm afraid I would mess it up! Weather in South Jersey was amazing today.............however, it's about to rain! Hope all are having a nice weekend!! :sunny:

I'm glad you're having better weather than us... It has rained non stop for 2 weeks here and it's not very warm either!
Still we had a really dry winter so we needed the water just wish it was a bit warmer

I read this morning, but didn't have time to post. My kids were nagging me as we promised them a trip to King's Island Amusement Park. Remember when the Brady Bunch went and they got Mike's blueprints mixed up with Jan's Yogi Bear poster? :rotfl2: It's the same place!!! :rotfl: Anyway, we met some friends there and the kids rode rides. Our friends have two little girls so Mallory was in heaven! Marshall and John rode rides in the bigger section. It was HOT!! But, I didn't complain....felt good compared to the past few weekends! The boys shamed me onto Top Gun and I wasn't very perky after that!!! :confused3

We saw the Reds lose AGAIN tonight. :furious: I am three for three this week! Three games and three loses! :rolleyes1 But, we are having a good weekend. :thumbsup2

Bob A group photo on EE would be awesome!!! :woohoo: I have a scanner at home... Lynn My kids have looked into VMK some but it sounds like I need to get into it too!!

I have such grandious plans for the next few weeks once school gets out. John wants to move to the basement (we have a "mother-in-law" apartment down there). John and I are going to paint it and get it ready to move into. I want to have a garage sale. As much as I hate having them, I see a ton of money to be made. I told my kids that any toys they are willing to part with, I would price and they can split the money three ways for WDW spending money! :smooth: They fell hook, line and sinker. I may get rid of some junk after all!!!! I will then paint his room and it will now be my junk, ironing and "packing" room. You know I never truly unpack, just wash and repack! But, now it will all be on the main level more convenient!

I will check in tomorrow after we see the Reds WIN!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to see a win. In fact, I don't think John has seen a win YET THIS YEAR (and we were in 1st place for a while!!!).

Loosy and Bob How's life with the whole famn damily in town??? :lmao:

Happy Memorial Day!!! BTW [/B]Lynn In the US that is the day we celebrate our fallen soldiers and other departed loved ones. It also marks the beginning of summer. Most pools are officially open, etc. Just in case you might wonder.... :wizard:

Welcome back, Jenny! It's nice to hear how some teachers :teacher: will be spending their time once the summer starts. I'm jealous!! Just think, ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, YOU'LL BE FREE...............urgh................. BTW, I think it's funny that you remember the details from the Brady Bunch episode!

I wonder what happened to our old friends, Debi & Kathy. :grouphug: Remember when they used to come on this thread and say, "Hi, etc?" We miss you guys! I'm surprised that Lucy is still talking :surfweb: at this point. Oh that's right, that was Bob!

pixiedust: :sunny: This is for you, Lynn! :wave2:

The famous fisherman, Billy Bass/ Father Flounder caught more fish today. :woohoo: It must be the new Bait shop job.....pirate: Anyway, :rolleyes2 all he talks about is how he keeps catching "keepers" and how he's been in the newspaper............I'm working on getting a copy so I can share it with everyone. He's a little braggy now, but we're very proud! :cheer2: JKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJK, DAD!

Happy Memorial Day to all....remembering all those that lost their lives defending our country....never forget them! :grouphug:

Yesterday was QUITE the day...busy, busy cooking...cleaning up the old house, but then we sat outside anyway...it was one GORGEOUS DAY!
So nice to see Bob's family again....since his mom is gone, we don't see them very often and I do miss them....but 7 hours was enough...around 9:30, Bob said to me, 'when are they going home' :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Hey, did any of you EVER try the wine coolers with flavors of Strawberry Daquiri, Fuzzy Naval, Wild Berries, and Cherry Fizz...not that I would know, yummmmmmm :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Listen to this one: last night, around 5:00, Bryan comes home from work and among all our company, says he wants a haircut and wants ME to give it to him, ME!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: ....I don't think so....I've got to live with him, remember. So, at that moment, Bob tells me to run and get a clipper NOW, before he changes his mind. I do, didn't care WHAT THE COST. I walked into our local drugstore and said to the asst. manager, I need a clipper NOW (and explained to her why--she said, been there done that with my son LAST week!) We tried to talk our in-laws to give him a clipper cut, because they don't need to live with him :lmao: Well, after awhile, Bob disappears for awhile....comes out on the deck with a smile on his face, we all get silent, and ask if Bryan is still alive and talking to him...he smiles again. I've gotta see this cut....I'VE GOT MY HANDSOME BOY BACK :yay: :yay: :yay: ....Bob can add another line to his resume.....barber! (great husband, great dad, merchandise manager, director, and NOW, barber - when will it end!) :cool1: Whatta night.! :cool1:

Gotta go and bake ANOTHER cake - we are going to neighbors this afternoon, having a Cape May Clam bake (almost - they are making clams :yay: ) - I'm bringing the steak and cake (anyone notice the rhyming here).

Weather-wise - I can't remember a more beautiful Memorial Day.....I need to get out there and do some walking....the 20 lbs. before I see you all is NOT looking promising :sad2: :sad1: :mickeybar :mickeybar

YES, YES, YES AND YES!!!!!!

Getting ready to go to the game. I am going to boot up the Indy 500 prerace activities. My dearest father, who I lost 13 years ago attended 43 straight Indy 500 races. Now I listen to the festivities and think of him (and have a good cry.... :sad2:

They are having "A Taste of Cincinnati" this weekend, so we will head down after the game. It's always awesome. THere are a lot of German restaurants, so we hit many of those.

It's beautiful outside..... lovin' this weather

BTW JoAnn.....I will "officially" be free at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Oh, Jenny, Wednesday??? I have three Wednesdays to go..........after a weekend like this, I want summer to start right now!!! :woohoo:

I now have the newpaper photo of BB's fish. The headline states: Bill Hopf nailed a nice "fatty Mcflatty" weighing in at 5 1/2 lbs. He's a local hero around these parts! :thumbsup2

Congrats on the haircut Lucy & Bob! What an exciting weekend!

Hope all are well, we're off to Ocean City for a family Christening! :sunny:

WALK OFF HOME RUN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE NINTH!!!

REDS WIN!!!!

Great day....beautiful weather!!!! :sunny:

Well, I thought for sure that someone would have been on by now today! Everyone must be outside enjoying the beautiful weather!!!! :sunny: I am heading for the pool myself right now!

Lucy I sent you an e-mail....boy did you set yourself up AGAIN! :lmao:

Billy Bass I need to send Marshall out for some fishing lessons.

JoAnn Make sure we see that article on J.T. Bass. A local legend? Did he catch "Old Sam" like Howard Sprague?? I love old TV shows as you can tell!!

Kathy and Debi Where are you two??

It's been nice hearing from Lynn!!! Hope you enjoy your time off. Do you go year round to school? What is your school calendar like. We traditionally do Aug-May. Most schools vary from mid to end Aug to late May to early June. I like our Mid Aug to end of May. It's easier to teach when it's hot in Aug instead of when it's hot in May. My kids pretty much shut down two weeks ago.

no time today.....it is all about The Book of Me today for Tyler
guess who gets to do the typing! :woohoo:
I'll be back! :grouphug:
shortest thread I've ever done! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey all! We're here! Sorry, Lynn, hang in there!! :cool1:

The weather here was soso, but we made the best of it! Congrats to the Reds, BTW! Still, this was the BEST Memorial Day weekend in recent memory!!

I am happy for the diversion of this weekend, it should help me for the next couple weeks!! Hope all are well, especially, Debs and Kath............hope you all decide to visit this summer?? :cloud9:

But I'm so tired. It's been a busy weekend. Ted worked. I spent Saturday at the pool with the kids. Yesterday, I took Owen to DC for his first Springsteen concert. We stayed up there last night and drove home this morning. We got up at 6am and we were home by 9am and at the pool by 10am. We spent 7 hours at the pool today. My kids never get tired of swimming and the weather has been perfect all weekend. We just finished dinner and baths and I think it'll be lights out around here within the hour. I'm glad to hear that everyone had a nice weekend. We have 7 school days left. It's going to be a busy couple of weeks before we leave for Hilton Head on the 11th. Last week I logged 8 hours of cardio. I was finally rewarded with another 5lb loss. Back to the gym tomorrow morning after carpool. I'll only be able to get in 4 hours this week and next though. I'm off to bed. Goodnight all!

WOW, I missed chatting with you guys.... :grouphug:

The Book of Me - COMPLETE - a day early.... :woohoo: :woohoo:
Now, to get thru the next 8 days of school.....once next Wed. hits, and
all the finals are done, Tyler will be a happy man (and his family!) :cool1:

Kathy - congrats on the weight loss my friend. Too many picnics and wine coolers this weekend to lose any weight - I'm just happy I didn't gain. Lots and lots of barbequed food at the neighbors on Sunday and Monday nights...
the clams were awesome...but I declined them on Monday night...at 85-90 degrees outside, they just didn't look good. :sad2:

I never remember a Memorial Day, in all my many years, that was THAT beautiful with constant sunshine and heat. WOW, it was great, wasn't it? :cheer2:

Why aren't Debs or Micco or Allie speaking to us?

My only confusing happening this weekend was, how in the world did those Reds win a game?

It has been a busy weekend. I know you all missed me. Anyway, belated Congratulations to John on the Superintendant's Award.

Good job Bob on the haircut, Lucy, I am glad you have your handsome son back, did you take before and after shots???? Would make a great scrapbook page! LOL.

And congratulation to our own Bait Boy, JT on his Fatty Mcflatty ! Way to go Bill.

And Kathy, you go girl on that weight loss!

Micco and I spent all day Sunday planting in the back yard, it was a gorgeous weekend. Yesterday, we just had a few friends over and barbecued. I even got to go in the pool both days, first Memorial Day w/e I can remember in a long time that it was that hot or that nice to go in the pool. So it was nice to have 2 days off, and relax a little Now it is back to work. Again, the drudgery, still nothing has happened with the store, tomorrow it will be 6 weeks since the fire. I am actually thinking of moving. Micco's company owns a house that I could take over as the store. It's a little off the beaten path, but the space is much bigger, parking is much better and no kids hanging out in front of the store all afternoon (and evening too with the warm weather and summer here). We would have to do some work to get it in shape for a store, but I think Micco is willing to help with that, and he is very handy. He was the one playing real estate agent the other night, trying to sell it to me, but I am already sold.

Anyway, Allie has been working some long hours again. She still enjoys it though. I don't think she'll ever find a better job in her life. We are looking forward to seeing her in (yes) less than 2 months, and really looking forward to seeing you guys. This is our 4th trip to Disney this year, and I really don't care if I go to the parks at all, or if I only go for an hour to ride EE or Rock N Roller Coaster and see the mouse. I can just hang out at the pool all day and run up Mark's bar tab (just kidding) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: , it will just be fun to hang with you guys. We have all been to Disney so many times, I don't feel like I have to get up at the crack of dawn and run, run, run all day long this time. I think this might actually be a vacation at WDW. Wouldn't that be fun?

Have a great day all!

Debi

I don't think I've ever done that....what is it like :confused3 :confused3

Thanks for "threading" Deb - we miss you when you don't.

Hey Deb, nice to hear from you! :woohoo: I hope your new location works out, (it sounds like a great idea!)

I thought I was going to have heatstroke today! We have no air at our school and it was steamy! I'm staying in all night in air conditioning! Whew! :guilty:

WTG, Kathy, I'm glad to hear someone is losing!

I loved that "Fatty McFlatty" byline....is that nuts or what??

Can't wait for summer here! :hourglass Today really did me in! Congrats to Tyler, you're almost free!

How many days now, Jen?? Poor Lynn, :smooth: it's coming, it's coming! :rolleyes1

IF Deb succeeds at getting a new place, we must all visit her again! :woohoo:

Oh, Tyler, (Bob I know you are reading this one from work) - JUST BECAUSE he finished his HUGE project a DAY EARLY - doesn't mean he is going to turn it in a DAY EARLY....no, he's a boy....and, "mom, it isn't due till tomorrow"!!!!!!! :furious: BOYS - I can't stand it! :furious:

Last week I was complaining that it was too cold in the office - I had no complaint today...didn't even wear a sweater today. Tomorrow summer school starts at the university - I'm glad - more people around.

I believe ONE of us in this GROUP is FINISHED with school     ....poor, poor Lynn...
it seems so far away for you. :love2:

Debs: how far in advance does Allie know where she will be working (character breakfast/character dinner)????
