Me too!!! Now it's just Debi, JoAnn and me (and all the lurkers out there! ) I sit here in my flannel jammies freezing my big butt off and they have a forecast of high 60s all week! That's just perfect weather in my book!!! I just had to check weather.com!

I got all the kids gifts wrapped last night with some help from my friend "Jose" and now Mark is going to take them to Fed-Ex in the morning to be shipped to his parent's house since Santa is coming there!

I am making pretzel treats (yes I can cook a little) for work tomorrow, ironing, laundry, etc today. After Mon. and Tues. I am done with work until Jan. 4th!!!

The rest of the week is just fun with the kids, including our annual hour to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. I have done this since I was about six and my kids all do it each year.

We WILL speak many days and nights before our departure.
Drove my cousin to the mall today and I had a great time - did I mention I have nothing to buy anymore?! (even though I did find a few stocking items for the kids). Going to the mall when your shopping is completed is so much fun.
I'm baking up a storm today (cookies, cookies, dishes, dishes)
Jenny, do you make those pretzels with the hershey kisses on top - they are my favorite, even though I bombed at making them.

I use a Hershey's Hug on top of a round pretzel (arrange the pretzels flat on a cookie sheet with some parchment paper under it). Bake at 250 degrees for 5 minutes. Press an M&M down on the top until the Hug seals against the pretzel. Put in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes until the Hug is more firm.

If I can make these ANYONE can. I am a terrible cook. M&M actually sit and peel the Hugs for me!

We are lovin' it today. The Colts fans around here had to swallow a loss!!

Yes indeed , never enough time to do all the "stuff" required for these holidays, by the way, We still speak of "Merry Christmas" in our house, and will not shop in the facilities that refuse to use "Christmas," etc in their advertisements.....
I'm exhausted, baking all day ...!! Making "Gutalude"'s (honey Bow's) a little treat that My Mother-in-law would make for the holiday's... She would be in the cold garage ,bundled up,cooking with the hot oil ,so the smell would not fill the regular house...!! Jenny (mother-in-law) made them the best ...!!
Today, Alice and her sister's continued the tradition, making 4 laundry baskets of the little beauties.... served with honey, they are terrific...
I feel this bunch ,made today, were the best I've had...
For goodness sake, Joann stop" wining", you know the girls will do it all
Did someone say the colts lost..... WoW... Did the Eagles find enough healthy players to field a team..??
OK,OK back to the grind tomorrow, parties,parties, Catierd lunches,wired kids,complain,complain,complain....

Ok, I'm in complete panic mode..........shopping's done...........cleaning is NOT! I don't feel like we have enough time off this Christmas (just the 26th to the 30th!) I'm jealous that you're all done on Tuesday (that would be great!) TY, Lucy, I'm glad you didn't leave yet!! How long are you going for again? I'll mail out the penpal letters this week, Jenny . Let me know when you get them!

making your girls do ALL the work - that is ridiculous....they work hard at school and then they MUST do ALL the work at home (as quoted by YOUR father)....tsk!tsk!tsk!

We leave Friday morning, USAir, around 7:15, from Phila. Will get shuttled to The Swan, by a recommendation from Jenny, then on Christmas morning
we pack up and move to the Beach Club Villas - I'm excited.
On Friday evening we have plans to see Lynn and Keith (Lynn, if you are
reading this I sent you a PM on our suggestions about meeting you).
Can't wait to see them again. Wonder if Kathy got to see them.
Speaking of KATHY, I miss her. We leave Orlando Friday evening,
Dec. 30th - have the whole day in Disney.

I can force myself to do favors for anyone, if they wish, meaning eating their favorite snack while at Disney. We already have plans for Cape May clambake, LeCellier, Prime Time (Christmas night), BOMA was FULL, no reservations available, also going to Mexico, and then there is the Yakatori House, Columbia Harbour House, Kona Cafe,....anything we are missing?

Ok, Lucy, since you're still here..............THANKS FOR THE CARD!! I loved it! It put a smile on my face after I baked the cookies........seriously, that was a special memory...........(BTW, how the "h" did I get that fat?)

Tell Lynn and Keith and have a great (lousy - jkjkjkjk) time on the trip! Lynn promised updates AND WE'LL BE CHECKING FOR THEM LYNN!

Yes, Lucy 's card was awesome! Mark really got a kick out of it too!

As of 3:30 I am on vacation!! Aside of a Cub Scout meeting and ringing the bell tomorrow for the Salvation Army, I am free!!!

I have absolutely gorged myself on cookies this week.. We did a cookie exchange this year instead of gifts at my grade level. These girls can cook!! I did my pretzels. That's about as much "cooking" as I do!! I came home from Cub Scouts and the plate had been invaded by Mark!!!!!

Lynn & Keith I hope you are having a great time at WDW!!!! I wish I were there! And to think you get to spend time withBob & Lucy too!! I envy you guys on the cruise AGAIN!! Bet you won't meet people as great as this group (don't tell us if you do.....feed our egos please!!!!). Just kidding have a great time!

The cold weather really stinks! My class heater was on the fritz all morning and I was miserable!!!! Ok, Jenny, I'm jealous! I HAVE TO WORK UNTIL FRIDAY PM! How nuts is that? The college girls are home and I leave them sleeping in their beds each morning! We only have one week off this year! It's tough (have I whined enough yet?!)

My school did a cookie exchange today too. It only took 3 tries (on three consecutive nights to get them right!)

Hi All,

We just got back from WDW yesterday. We had a great trip. The weather wasn't great...cold and light rain on a couple of days but it didn't slow us down. I'm exhausted. My dad arrives today so there's no time to rest. I haven't sent out my Christmas cards yet...I just bought them while I was at Disney! We just got word from the Navy GI Specialty leader that we've got to spend another year in VA which means we won't return to CA until June 2007. We are disappointed to say the least. I will move our June 2006 WDW trip to October (I loved F&W) and I'll most likely skip the June 2006 cruise and move my deposit to 2007.

Lynn, I'm sorry that we didn't get to see each other but I sent you my itinerary and cell phone number weeks ago. I can't understand why you didn't get it. I would have loved to see you and Keith.

Kathy I am so glad to hear from you! I bet your trip to Disney, despite the weather, was much better than a day in the midwest!!! I too love the food and wine festival!

I am sorry about the news of not returning to CA for another year. I know that you were so looking forward to returning to Coronado. After our trip this summer, I can see why you would love it there! We loved that area when we visited it!

Well it is only one day until Lucy, Bob and boys get to head to WDW. Oh how I envy you! Make sure you tell Mr. Jack hello for us. I hope you enjoy him as much as we do!!

I think Mark could use a WDW fix. He's been extremely frustrated lately. He came home at 8:00 last night and is already out the door this morning (left around 6:45 a.m.). Maybe the Bengals game and a trip to his parents this weekend will "help", but warmer weather would make it even more tolerable!!

SO, what do you think of this idea? We all get together, this summer, in Williamsburg, for a short weekend, long weekend, and Kathy will be there! We were planning on visiting, but didn't know how we would get there until you moved - now we can (can you tell I'M a little excited about your delay - sorry). Seriously, what do you guys think? Today, is cleaning day, then tonight, packing night. Tyler is in school, missing school tomorrow. I truly feel sorry for teachers and having to go to
school this late, plus return on Monday, Jan. 2nd (we have our holiday on the 2nd, so I go back the 3rd). Oh, but JoAnn is so lucky to have her girls home and doing all the work!

Ok............WELCOME BACK KATHY.........we accept your excuse, as long as you're in WDW, you can miss a few weeks on our thread! So sorry about your Cali plans, that really stinks! So we're all still in for 2007..............the DISforum seems to still be leaning towards the Med 2007 idea.............I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE!!!! I've never been to Europe and I really want to have a plan to go there soon!
