Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

We're back home! Had a nice, but tiring weekend. Friday we drove to Cincy and went straight to King's Island. M&M went off and rode rides together while John "pouted" in one of his teen moods. After we he realized his sibs really didn't "need him" he took everyone swimming at the indoor pool. We ordered pizza and enjoyed the porch!

Sat. we were at the waterpark when the gates opened. Since we have season passes we get to go in 1/2 hour early even though the water rides aren't open yet. Mark rented us a cabana. It was awesome! We could sit in the shade or sun, no kids running around us, servers to bring us snacks/drinks. It was fantastic! The kids ran around all day while we relaxed! I think we are finally at a point in our lives where we can at least relax ONCE IN A WHILE!

This week is busy with John flying to US on Friday for a week with X. Marshall leaves for Boy Scout camp Sunday. Mark and Mal are leaving Thursday to go to his parents and the Reds games in Cleveland. I am having a garage sale on Friday and maybe Sat. I look forward to some quiet time here!!!

JoAnn - glad summer has finally began for you! Lucy - hope Bob's shows went well. Fill us in. W

Do I feel better! We stayed at a different hotel (across the street from KI) and the beds were HORRIBLE!!! Even John complained and he can sleep ANYWHERE!!! I went to bed last night at 9 and slept 11 1/2 hours!

Sounds like a fun weekend! I finally have been sleeping in myself......it's such a privilege (remember recently when I slept in and I was supposed to be at work!)

We had a really nice beach day yesterday, not hot enough to swim but very sunny and pretty.

Ok, so Jenny leaves on.............? Lucy leaves on...............? I leave on the 24th................I think this summer is going to go so fast with all the events during it................

a quick note: I'm TOTALLY excited - I get to cook a dinner tonight for someone who truly appreciates it!
Bob's show is OVER for the summer and now we can concentrate on vacationS!!!!

taking my 'mum' for a perm today (a challenge in itself, taking her from the 'home" to the hairdresser - but the 'home' does NOT have a hairdresser - isn't that disgusting)

our vacations are FINALLY approaching , although they are NOT together

Lucy leaves on the 20th of July and comes home
Aug. 1st. When i get home, it is ONLY 24 more days of vacation (BOY, am I depressing )
Our vacation is so exciting this year - ONLY the three of us (Mr. Miserable is staying home...DON'T think we didn't give him a chance to join us for a short period of time, we did )....we can ONLY imagine what this place will look like and smell like (gone ONE weekend and he didn't take the garbage out, with food in the garbage)
Anyway, I'm NOT going to think about it (all the time ) - 3 nights at the Royal Pacific, 4 nights at Animal Kingdom Villas, and 5 nights at Boardwalk Villas.
AND, this year we are going to TRY to get to Typhoon lagoon for a day.
Of course we have our dinner reservations already, how about everyone else?
Oh, yea, JoAnn, do you have your dinner reservations?
Of course we have LeCellier, this year we are again trying Ohana, BOMA is always a must (for breakfast and maybe dinner), Tyler wants Coral Reef - haven't heard great things about it, but you can't mess up lunch, can you?

JoAnn - IF you are available, we'd like to meet you guys for dinner......

Sitting with Mallory and watching Camp Rock for the 4th time! I had to take her to the doctor this evening as she has an ear infection. Her little tears made me so sad!

When I come back from vacation Lucy we will be returning to school in 23 days! Where does the summer go???

Ok, enough of this talk, I tabulated it and I had 10 weeks of summer vacay before I had to go back so as of today, I still have 9 weeks or 45 days. I'm in trouble b/c I'm still dreaming about this school year, that's not good........I need to mellow into summer!

Listen, we all have our troubles..............our little, innocent, soccer player is currently at "Senior Week." First, she's called us each day once or twice to check in. Today, she said, "Let's meet for dinner!" (Now you know most kids wouldn't do that!) As we were heading over, she said that she was kicked out of her shore house due to a fire code violation. So I stopped over around 10pm to speak to the landlord who was offering less than half of the week's rent for a 2 nights stay. Needless to say, I shared what I felt about that to him directly. Now, she plans to stay with her other friends (which will now make those girls in jeopardy of getting in trouble.)

So, I'll be a few shore towns away for the rest of the week, for the NEXT phone call! ::cop: I've now asked her to identify EVERYWHERE she goes for the next couple of days, until we pick her up on Saturday!!! So far, she's been cooperating, (it's been two hours.)

No, we have no reservations, we will go anywhere that you want to, LU, at this point it's just 4 of us, we're not sure if Tara is going to come (if she does, she'll probably bring Jer. )

Sorry, Jenny, we wish we could have come with you, it was just too early this year, with all the other stuff going on.............The Rents will be 50 on July 5th, so the whole family is taking them out to dinner on the 12th (when Tracy is back) to celebrate!!!

Okay, I'm now going to stay up all night and worry! What's everyone else doing?

Remember Lynn's midges???? I read this article in the newspaper from my hometown (about an hour from here). They had extensive flooding and now having trouble with MIDGES!!

Notice the end of the article tells how to keep them from biting...the most interesting being to rub dryer sheets on the body!

Once again, Bryan is doing his 'let's make mom's life as miserable as possible because it makes me feel better" He is smart enough to stay away when Bob is home ONE OF US is going to move out soon!
With Tyler, right now, he is different....when he sees the way Bryan treats me, he tries to help me around the house, any way he can - he does have his 'miserable' moments, but yesterday he did SO MANY chores without asking for money, surprise, surprise Enough....you guys get tired of me complaining, i'm sure

SHE stayed with some friends last night (and their parents)........I haven't heard from her since this morning but so far so good!

My dad's computer is acting up, tonight they're going to visit with some high school friends who are in town!

She's driving us nuts, so she is better! It's amazing what 24 hours of antibiotics will do for you!

The boys had annual physicals today. I thought I would go bizzerk in that room with the three of them! They were nuts! But, they have the physical forms signed off!

So, I've gotta tell you what i did for my hubby yesterday (I like to tell you when I'm a hero, notice? )...i met one of my professors for a cup of coffee yesterday, and, in the conversation he asked me if i would like tickets to see Gypsy on Broadway....the tickets are, unfortunately, for when I'm working at the Kutztown Folk Festival, but i took the tickets anyway - I knew Bob could always get a 'date' (no fear, people, I did remind him he 'owes' me, with a long list of 'wishes'), so on July 5th he'll be heading to NYC to Broadway, without me

Still waiting for the next phone call from JJ. Ken contacted some of the other parents and now their plotting their payback challenge. Apparently, the fire marshall is not blaming the "shutdown" on the kids but some preexisting conditions in the house. They should get their money back. She's still mooching off of friends in the Ocean City community. It's a comforting feeling................ What's everyone else doing today?
