Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

WHAT A SORRY PERFORMANCE ....Penn St got there ***'s kicked.....!! One can't come back against a team like USC...!! those guy's are a machine....one last thought,I wonder how it would have gone in Beaver statiom...!
Well, Sunday it will be the Beagles/Minn...I see maybe 10 points win for the beagles.....hopefully the Giants would be next....

is it summer yet...??

Bill.....way too far away:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I'm actually sitting here looking at the cruise forum boards, trying to cheer myself up: Bob going to work, Jenny on her way to Cincy, Jo-Jo in NYC, Lucy too lazy to get off her butt!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Now that we are in the 'heat' of winter (did that make sense?!:sad2: )....
the summer seems so far away. No trips planned for the entire winter/spring. You KNOW how I feel about football.....thank goodness we got some movies for Christmas. Eagles.....I'm beginning to think it isn't the football team I dislike, it is some of those crazy fans...watching the news, they drive me NUTS! Did you see in Minn. how they are begging the fans to come see the game - weird - that wouldn't happen in Philly!

Today....Bob will be at work till 9:00, I MIGHT find something to do, the key word here is MIGHT!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks for visiting with me, Bill:hug:

We're here, in the Apple store in SoHo.......my first visit here, actually we came yesterday too......soooo cool and better shopping than I expected.....it's sunny and brisk but beautiful.....we got tix to Avenue Q yesterday, not a great show but excellent seats in the Orchestra........guess who I saw last night..............TOM CRUISE How cool is that?? We have a blurry pic too, I also have a shot of me in front of the paparazzi!!! So, so cool.....we'll be home later today....don't be depressed Lucy, we'll come up to NYC and I'll show you So Ho............:wizard:

Welcome Home everyone! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Now, we want a story behind the Tom Cruise appearance:confused3

I was just saying to Bob this morning - today, I would hate to be JoAnn or Jenny....just getting home and then going to work tomorrow...nasty:scared1:

Yes, we're home.......Tara was delivered to her Brooklyn apartment. Since I've been there, they've done a nice job of making in more homey with family pictures and wall hangings.

Jess has been delivered to Drexel. I had to clean her dorm, what a mess! She's starting back tomorrow and also plans to meet with her counselor (and Tracy) and change her major to Physical Therapy.

About Tom............we were leaving our theatre and we passed all these scurvy men with cameras outside the "All My Sons" theatre. We heard some buzz that Tom and Surie were there, so we decided to wait it out. After about 20 minutes of freezing cold, and being moved around by the cops, Surie and Katie came out (in white fur coats) and right into a waiting car and then.........Tom Cruise walked out and literally waved right to me(oh, and the other people there!) He was really good looking. It was fun, we also saw John Lithgow come out and the crowd gave him a round of applause. Diane Wiest went right into a waiting car and very few people saw her. So it will be fun to see if any pictures are in the tabloids next week of what we saw. I mostly got a kick out of seeing the hovering paparazzi for the first time.....

School tomorrow........it was a fun break........we've rounded the horn.....summer's right around the corner.......and the days are getting longer! :cloud9: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :goodvibes

It definitely has been great being off these last two weeks. I am so glad that you reminded me JoAnn that the days are getting longer!:cool1: Sounds like your trip to NYC was exciting......are you officially part of the paparazzi (SP?) now?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Our trip ended bittersweet. Our dear friend, Mike, who Mark & I have traveled to games with for years passed away in Miami while attending the Orange Bowl. He, along with his DS and DDIL were there to see University of Cincinnati which he was a major donor/fan of. We have been to games together from coast to coast; San Diego, Tampa, New York, Cleveland, Chicago, New Orleans, and Kentucky to name a few. He was just over to go to the Wisconsin/Indiana game with us in the fall and Mark went to the Ohio State/Michigan game with him in Nov. He was in NYC for part of our trip when we were there in 2007 and went to a couple of games at Shea with John and Mark. Mike and his son Mike Jr. were with Mark the day we met! Anyway, Mark and I will be attending family services on Thursday evening and Friday. Mark has always said that Mike was more like a father to him than his own father............we certainly feel a void right now. :sad1:

We had dinner with Mike Jr. and Susie last night and it did help to tell Mike stories. Boy do I have some stories about him (and he has a few about me!). He was such a lover of life and always happy.

Sorry to be such a "downer"....it's been a long couple of days. :sad1: :sad2:

     Honestly, I thought something was up when you didn't check in for a few days. I remember you mentioned him.....very sorry to hear the news.......take care and hugs to Mark too.......

So icy here that I didn't have school!:dance3: I had to take John to the orthodontist though at 8:30, so I was up and out in it. It wasn't too bad if you were on the main roads, but my driveway was "slicker than......" I'll let Lucy fill in the midwestern end of that similie!!!!! Go ahead Lucy, tell them how slick my driveway was!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Note from Dave, sister Cindi's hubby??? Guess I missed that one, or did I?:confused3

gang, what Jenny said was NOT very ladylike!:scared1: :scared1:

So, Bill, when you said, be careful 'up there' - did you mean, jenny, jo-jo or ME!:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Jenny was hit with ice today, we're still waiting for the nasty weather - I waited on the sofa, covered up, watching soap operas, all day for the ice (I didn't want to risk getting hurt:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ), I did get up and make myself some soup but got safely back to the sofa.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: NOW, I'm STILL on the sofa - Bob convinced me to watch Wall-E....ah, of course, everyone loves the movie, I just don't get it!:sad2:
Give me the weather channel anyday, NOW that is interesting:yay: :yay:

Tyler is expecting a day off tomorrow....we told him to get upstairs and do homework.....I don't want a day off tomorrow - I wanna go to work - two days of soap operas is enough for me!

I'm just hoping for a delayed opening..........no ice yet here.........:cool1:

Delay days are good. :dance3: Cancellations are bad! We extended our year with the cancellation today. I would like a delay tomorrow just so I can go in and get some stuff ready for Thurs. p.m. and Friday.

Mark and I are leaving for Cincy at 2 p.m. Thurs. to go straight to the viewing for his friend. Friday we will attend the burial, memorial service and luncheon at the request of his son, who we are also very close with. The burial is private, but again our attendance is requested. We have planned on coming home Friday night, but have made provisions to stay Friday night if need be. It's time to close this chapter.............:sad1:

Positives of the day.........:laundy: is all caught up! I got some ironing done, but I could iron for a month and not get caught up!!!!:lmao:

Sorry Jenny, I'm sure it's hard...........:grouphug: I've only worked two days and I'M BEAT! But the days are getting longer and we're almost 6 months to the cruise!! All I ask for is some icy roads and a delayed opening.......:dance3: :rolleyes1 :cloud9:

no school today for Tyler or Lucy:sad1: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
When I got up at 6:00 it was a two hour delay - by 6:30, we were closed.
The three school districts in this area are closed.
It is now 10:30 and it is still icy outside. Rain starting to fall and will eventually break it up (now a flood advisory for us), but still nasty.
The freezing rain didn't start till about 9:00 last night. Of course, being a mom, I couldn't fall asleep until Bryan was home (works in town, why do I worry:confused3 )
Tyler still asleep at 10:30!:yay: :yay:
Bryan has a day off too and bob is heading to work, 12-9. Oh, boy, me and the children:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
I personally don't think "it" knows how to snow anymore in Kutztown - we ALWAYS have ice storms, never snow:sad2:

Jo-Jo, did you have a delay today?:confused3
