Hey it's me again......Have a question

The best thing that ever happened to me after a big breakup happened years later. It wasn't a bad breakup. The feelings were mutual and we had grown apart. Neither of us had resolved our feelings for the other until several years had gone by and I invited him out for a drink to talk.

We talked about the way we were at that point. We reminisced about happy times we had. BUT, we were both happy with the direction that our lives had taken. We'll always be friends, but he is happy with his DW and family and I am happy with my DH and family. At that time, neither of us was married, and it gave us the closure to our past relationship that we needed.

I hope everything went well for you today and that time will heal your heart. You've always sounded like you will make the right guy a very lucky man.

Just hoping you're OK today, Carey.

I just found this thread - and I am so sorry to hear about your breakup!!:( :(

As I was reading everyone else's posts, I was thinking, "Call him and tell him you want YOUR stuff, now!" So, I was very happy that you did just that. It's your belongings, and you deserve to have them back. IMO, you also deserve an answer as to why he called off the engagement. I feel that is the least he can do.

You sound as though you are a very strong and confident individual. Please hang in there.
Pam
