to the Fort in May/June!

I'm new here and this is my first post. I've been looking around the boards trying to figure things out.

We'll be staying at Fort Wilderness for 8 days at the end of May/1st week of June. This is our 3rd trip...2nd with our camper. We stayed at All Star Movies last February and so missed the Fort and it's surroundings so I don't think we'll ever stay at another Disney resort!

Only thing I don't like about staying at Fort Wilderness is that there are no discounts for us campers (or at least none that I can find anyway!) as opposed to those staying in other resorts but I'm sure that's an ongoing issue and has probably been discussed here lots of times, huh?

Just introducing myself! Looking forward to learning the ropes and posting with all of you!

Welcome to the Camping Forum. I agree, I stayed at an off site motel in the '70's. Since then our 20-30+ visits have been to the Fort. The Only Place to Stay!. I would suggest you dig into your profile and set up a signature block, letting us know who's in your group, what kind of rig you have, etc. I know you will enjoy your stay in May/June, except for the heat, maybe. Keep us posted on your progress toward the trip and of course ask any questions you have. Expect many of the answers to be off the wall....be wary of Jim (fortwildernessguy) and Frank (born2fish).

Be sure to plan on some down time to experience the Fort. There's lots to see and do there without visiting the parks.
