Ugh that Irma thread. I HATE seeing innocent posters get attacked - making people feel guilt or shame for being sad about missing their vacation is NEVER okay. People can be cruel with their words and it's like they just don't care!!!

I had to stop following that massive one!

I have been looking at the smaller ones with major updates and the "riding out the hurricane" one just to see what is happening at the resorts in the unfortunate event that it happens when I am there.

I have not looked at the Irma thread. I tend to keep to the happy dance threads. People seem more friendly.

Hope everyone is doing good! We got our ME tags, and our first set of MB should be shipping this week. We are doing a split stay, so we opted to get a second set of bands, to have more colors! Of course, it is my intent to get the MNSSHP band as well. It is a sickness.

Ok so I cant seem to find the strength to stop buying things for this trip. And I am by nature a thrifty gal.

I bought new shoes this week because I realized that my tried and true walking shoes are starting to seem a worn down and not as supportive (my shoes wear down at an odd and sharp slope from over pronation).

I bought new athletic socks because I kept thinking how important it will be to have moiture wicking fabric for the humidity and possible rains.

I bought new water bottles and carrying bags to go with the water bottles

I bought small portable fan that plug into our phones-m son needed this anyway because his school cafeteria doesn't have enough room for all students and its been over 100-112 here for 7 out of the last 15 days and there is very limited shade.

I bought 2 new pairs of shorts and a few new shirts for us both

I bought Mickey and Minnie rain ponchos

I bought new luggage

I need to stop buying.........

And Then I got Magic Band shipment part 2 with my blue and purple magic bands and luggage tags and now I just feel further pull to go shopping. Someone hold me down

3 pair of shorts for me
Halloween T shirts
2 new camera lenses
2 swim suites for me
Water proof phone pouch for DD's boyfriend ( the rest of us have them already)
Shoes for DH and DS
DD a swim suit
4 bottles of sunscreen
2 new pair of shoes for me

I still want Minnie Ears and with the postponed trip...im going to order them today

We had co-op (home school group classes) today and everyone was asking how was Disney. They all forgot if we went last week during Labor day holiday or this week. DD got upset and snapped at one girl. DD apologized afterwards. But we are all bummed we had to postpone. We are from Gulf Coast of Alabama so we know all about hurricanes and we understand the devastation of losing your home and belongings to the storm. We are not insensitive. We can feel sad for missing a long anticipated vacation, and still feel sympathy for those suffering from lose or damage.

I'm going to end up packing an entire summer wardrobe and an entire fall wardrobe for this trip. I just bought (the cutest!) long sleeve tops/sweaters and a really pretty cardigan to bring on the trip.

I tell myself they're really for work, but they're not. They're not.

We just got home from an out of town wedding and we had some Disney store mail waiting for us, older DS got so excited when he saw the Mickey logo, even when I told him it was just some shirts for our trip for him and his brother. Oh, and a trick or treat Mickey pumpkin bag too. The light-up plastic ones they have in the parks look great but I figured the fabric one folds flat and is packable. And I just bought DS a new pair of sneakers, what is it about summer that makes little boys' feet grow into giant Hobbit feet?

But that's all the shopping....for now.

Our family of three- dh, dd (6yo), and I will be visiting 10/4-10/8 and will be staying at the Poly. This will be our first poly stay and first MNSSHP. We're so excited!!

Tried calling the reservation number to add another day of park tickets to our reservation, but it says the reservation center is closed and to call back when it reopens on September 12th. Does anybody have an idea of when it will open today?

I feel like a crazy person. I am hunting for BOG reservation 1 person at a time. I have 2/5 already. Just missed a 2 person reservation 18 days to find them!

I too have been bitten by the trip shopping bug. Because we obviously all need new Star Wars shirts to wear to DHS especially with all the new Last Jedi merch out. DH doesn't have a Mickey shirt?! That won't do at all. Now that stores are getting Disney Halloween tees I might need those too.
I only have 2 travel size items left to buy and at least that list is done. I picked up super cute target halloween decor for our room window from their dollar section! I'm SO EXCITED!!
Now to find some deals on shorts and swimwear

It was open at 8 am Florida time today. I had to call and reschedule my vacation. I was supposed to arrive today but flight was cancelled and couldn't get new flight until Friday. So I rebooked while vacation to October. And let me just say. After being so stressed about having to cancel my September trip. I am now even more excited about my New October trip!
