***Hey, Hey! Come right in and plan, OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2017 thread!!!***

I'm in!!! Will be there Oct 14-21, staying off property, most likely Windsor Hills. Will be with husband and 2 year old daughter. So excited...and overwhelmed. Very different to plan vacation as a family of 3! Can't wait

Joining in because I officially booked our first stay at the BCV 10/14-10/20. The boardwalk area has always been one of my favorite and i can't wait to be so close to the Food and Wine festival(1st time!)

Cool! Nov. 3 is older son's 13th birthday. We tweaked the trip to go just a bit earlier because I've always wanted to go to the Halloween party. :)

Greetings, fellow Mouseketeers. Well, my recent trip earlier this month was going to be my only Disney trip this year. Yeah, right. It was so fun that I just have to go back this fall, after all! Still deciding between October, November, or ideally including some of each. For now I'll join the October and November threads, and will see later if I need to drop out of one of them. Will keep you posted when I know my specific trip dates.

Just made my final payment!!! Polynesian, dining plan, hoppers and plane tickets all paid off! All we have to buy are party tickets.

Feels awesome!!! :p

Anyone know how the weather typically is in October? We will be there October 20th-27th this year. The last time we were there which was September 28th-October 4th in 2014 it ended up being extremely rainy, hot/humid, etc. I'm hoping by the end of October the humidity won't be as bad?

I have to share with people that will understand my excitement - I booked this week to arrive at Disney World on my twin daughters' seventh birthday! The current plan is to surprise them the morning we leave - drive to the airport instead of to school. We'll arrive on October 26 and depart October 31, staying in two rooms at All Star Sports on a really good military discount. It will be me, my husband, the girls, my sister, and our au pair. We'll get the military 5 day parkhoppers, and will add express transportation between the parks.

I don't dislike Halloween, but I'm not nearly as "into" it as others are, so I've never considered going to a Disney Halloween party before - but now I'm thinking we'll get tickets. Not sure which night, we'll figure that out once the tickets are for sale. Anyone know of a group costume that will work for three or four adults and two kids?

We last visited in January 2016 when the girls were five, and did the Dining Plan, but this time we'll just do QS and maybe the "Disney Gift Card" plan, putting what would be the cost of the Dining Plan onto gift cards paid for in advance instead, then using that for meals/souveniers. I like the idea of everything being paid off when we arrive, but I'd rather not have to schedule sit-down meals. Last time the girls wound up LOVING the Agent P adventures, so we'd do our fast passes in another park then hop to Epcot every day. Being less tied down sounds like a better plan for this trip.

Getting excited!

We've had good weather over several Oct. visits... not humid, practically perfect in every way...
