HEY GIRLS! What's you favorite DEODERANT????

Almost nothing works for me --- I have a medicine that helps --- but I use Mitchum for Women and that is great...

LOL, your post made me smile! :sunny:

I use a deodorant crystal and it works GREAT. Years ago when I used regular deodorants they rarely worked for me. I'd always get a slightly "funky" smell after a long, hot day. LOVE the crystal and would never go back to anything else!! They last forever and are natural...no icky chemical ingredients. Good luck. Hope you find something that works for you. ::MickeyMo

After reading your post, I went out and bought one at Meijers. It was about $4.00 and suppose to last a year. I have to say, we are having a heat wave with temps running in the mid 90's everyday, and I have been using the crystal for about a week. Its working great!! I have been trying all kinds this summer including Dove, Degree, Secret and none have lasted all day, but the crystal really seem to have solved the problem!!

Glad you are trying the Mitchum! I use the Mitchum unscented gel. Not the "women" kind. I have very sensitive skin too.

After my babies I found that I had to use on of those salt crystals. They last FOREVER! You just dampen the crystal, wipe under arm. I'd "air out" while brushing my teeth and THEN apply my Mitchum. The secret of the crystal is that it is a big rock of salt and salt apparently won't allow bacteria to grow. Some large breasted women use it underneath their breasts to prevent heat irritations and I've heard of athletes using it on their feet.

This may sound silly, but I have to alternate deodorants or I have a similar problem  My main brand is Dove, but after awhile, I switch to Secret for a week or two, then back to Dove.

Me too! :teeth:

The absolute only one I use is Ban roll on, it's a white bottle with blue cap. I have used numerous brands in the past but when i found this one I never used any other now.

I'm a big fan of Soft & Dry with the derma stripe. Used it for years and it just works the best for the hot weather.

Also, try finding a travel size deodorant and throw it in your bag. I do this when I go to WDW in the summer so I can reapply it midday since nothing works all day in that heat and humidity

I had the same problem since having my dd6. Why is it our bodies are never the same after birth??? After trying several different deod. i changed soap. I used dove for years. now i'm using lever. Also i have learned that applying alcohol to my underarm before applying deod. helps as well. The oder comes from bacteria. I use the alcohol to help kill the bacteria. Hope this info helps

I have this problem as well since having my DD (6yo). I found some packs of Secret Platinum with a travel size at Big Lots for 1.99 and it works fabulously. I have tried many, many kinds but so far the Secret Platinum is doing its job.

Edited to say--I just bought the Secret this week.

I used Mitchum for a while until I realized that it actually made me sweat MORE (although it did control the stink well). I never have had sweaty armpit marks on my shirt except when I used Mitchum. I've been happy with Degree for years, but I just discovered Adidas and LOVE it! I read a review in a magazine (Jane, I think?) where they absolutely loved it, so I tried it and it's great. Not a drop of sweat and no stink at all. And, best of all, it is barely perfumed. I hate it when you can smell your own deodorant. Unfortunately, a couple stores (Target, namely) stopped carrying it, so I stock-piled it when I saw it at another store because I'm scared it's being discontinued. So, I have a case of it now. ;)

I use Secret Sheer Solid - Spring Breeze Scent. it is awesome. I have been using it for YEARS. I don't like any other deodorant and I find that nothing else really works for me. I buy this deodorant in BULK from Costco.... :p :p :p

I have very sensitive skin and I have NEVER had a problem with this brand/scent.

I alternate too....Dove and Secret. I usually stick with the tried and true scents...I've had some "stinky" experiences with some scents...guess they just don't mix with my body chemistry! I noticed the same thing with perfumes...some smell great on other people but when I try them...ew! It can be so disappointing!

I'm so glad it worked for you, too! It really is great! I never have to worry about a thing! The easiest way to use it is to not dry your underarms after you bathe or shower and just apply it to the wet underarms. That is actually the best way to apply any deodorant, I've heard, because most of them are moisture-activated and that way they'll be activated with water and not stinky sweat! :rotfl:

Thank you all for the HUGE response! I have tried both Dove and Secret and they seem to work for only a few days :confused3

I took the advice of many on here and purchased the Mitchum brand. So far so good!

Thanks again for all the advice. I'm not used to being a sweaty person... I suppose this is just another way becoming a mommy rocks the good ol' body! Tyler's worth it though :p

I had the same problem with Dove and Secret......I have been using Lady Mitchum for the past week and so far it's been working perfectly! No stinky pits at all. :maleficen (<--love her!)

Dry Idea. It is a roll on. I work in a hot restaurant nearly every day. This one works well (meaning I don't stink) and I've been using it for about a year now, one of the waitresses who works for me told me about it.

Okay ladies, I might be dating myself but...there is a deodorant called "5-Day''. It is supposed to last for more than one day, hence the name. My mom has used it for at least 50 something years so it is still around for a reason. The only down-side is that they are pads in liquid but it really works well. Anyone else remember this stuff?! :confused3

And to think that I've been making sure the pits are really, really dry before applying the deo/anti-persp!!!! I was thinking of going to 'Basin' in DTD next week and getting one of their crystals. I'm glad to hear that they actually work for some. So, do you apply the crystal and then let it dry and then apply a regular deo?

I like to cool confidence brands from Avon and they are only a dollar.
