I just looked up the MVMCP that's going to be on Christmas Morning at 9:00. It's probably easier to search by time, but I was trying to search by title. Tivo is listing it as: The Walt Disney World Very Merry Christmas Parade. The "The" was throwing me off. I hope this helps someone. :D

Dayna, I just bought this for Tom for Christmas.. I have no idea how to set it up and I think I read that you have to have a service as well.. Can I do that online?? I will have to have Tom and the girls.. I am so inept with this type of thing.. Yikes.

What is Tivo? Sounds like something DH is going to want. We're so behind....I finally agreed to a DVD player--which he gets to open on Christmas ::snickering::

Marsha, Hi. Tom will love Tivo. You do need to set up the service. It's so much a month or one payment for the lifetime of the player. You can do it online. It's a www.tivo.com. It's not hard to do. It takes several hours to download the initial programming, but after that it makes calls to get the new programs, and it's no big deal. :D

Tia, Tivo is a machine that records programs on t.v. like a v.c.r. ,but it records the programs directly on the machine. You don't need tapes. You can program it to record something everytime it's on, you can rewind live t.v. for a couple of seconds if you miss something, you can program it to alert you when a show is coming on with a favorite actor or actresss (i.e. Ewan McGregor :D ). I'm sure there's other Tivo Freaks on here who can fill you in. It's wonderful. I have to go. I am supposed to leave in 8 minutes.

Hugs,
Dayna

My TV guide from the newspaper says it is 10 am. I guess it is a time difference since I live in Florida.

BTW, I think it is around 70 degrees now. Just a nice message if you are looking at snow. :)

I love my TIVO!! I had it professionally set up, because I feared that if I got in back of my home theater, all the cables, patch cords, etc. would rise up and strangle me. Or at the very least, that I'd break something.

But I did fix my DVD player the other day. I was impressed, anyway.....

I wonder if Tivo would record from our digital cable, since we can't seem to get the VCR to do that. It records fine from the other TV's, just not the one that's digital. Sounds like Barry would love this, since he's always recording something and it would get rid of all the clutter of tapes we have to keep finding room for.

The Christmas parade is on here at 10:00 AM, too.
