Hey! Did You Buy My New Car Today?

I went to my local dealership to inquire about the Cash for Clunkers deal and I qualified for the rebate - but they can't find the car I want!! There were a few listed but by the time they called they had been sold. I'll either have to take my chances that the money doesn't run out and they can find what I want for the price I am willing to pay, or choose another kind of car altogether.

A 2009 Mercury Mariner Hybrid - I had a specific price point and the color and option package I want wasn't available. They'll look some more next week and see if they can find it - or I might have to move up in my price range if I really, really want it. I can't make a cash for Clunkers deal on the 2010 because they aren't available yet...

My 2002 Chrysler T&C van qualifies for the full $4500 rebate so I hate to pass that up, and I'm not sure I would buy anohter van - I really like the Hybrid and the price of the Mariner is attractive to me. So we'll see...
