Hey Chicagoland Disers! Who's going to the DVC event?

Hello to all the Chicago area Disers who've been to the meets at the Schaumburg Doorway to Dreams store! (And hello to all of you who haven't been able to come to the meets!)

Is anyone planning on going to the DVC event at Woodfield Mall this month? If you're on the mailing list for the Doorway to Dreams, you'll probably get your invitation in the mail this week.

In addition to the large DVC seminars offered in the Improv Comedy Club at the mall, there will also be:
Disney Characters
A sweet dessert reception
Giveaways and Surprises
And I assume you can tour the BLT models as well up at the Doorway to Dreams.

Their events are always fun so I hope to see some of you there! I RSVPed for the session at 4pm on Saturday Feb 21st. Anyone else going at that time? If so, let me know if you want to meet for lunch before- or dinner after!

Have they posted the times and dates for the Schaumburg event? We have been the last two programs at the Doorway to Dreams store, and the last time we added on at AKV. Probably won't do that again but it would be fun to go up and see what they were offering.

The actual seminar is maybe 30-45 minutes. It's kind of like a live DVC infomercial! But they always have some contests and surprises. Last summer they had drummers from the AK and they gave away some African artwork like the items you see at the AKL. Sometimes the characters are at the seminar- sometimes they're out in the mall. It's fun - and a way to get a dose of pixie dust!

DH and I want to go, but I think we might have a conflict. DH said he would like to go, but we cannot do an add-on like we talked ourselves into last time! It would still be fun to go, because I need some to get me through this Illinois winter!

I signed on yesterday when we got our mailings and the times were completely different. I was originally signed up for Friday 2/20 at 7:00 PM. I wonder why the change? These times work much better so I won't complain, just curious!

I called yesterday. The more convienient times are for non DVC members. The link I had was for current DVC members.

I think there are different times if you are an owner or not...

Well I want to go and see everyone on Saturday. But I have one question is there a difference in times between members and non-members? Because as my signature states for those of you who don't know yet we are now DVC members!!!
After our meet in December when Nooshkin and I talked to Derek, I went home and worked on my husband. Well he finally gave in (or should I say he had no choice) and we bought in at the end of December. We are actually closing on it this weekend and right before I read this post I received in the mail our official membership cards.
So now it's your turn Nooshkin and Geef, come join the DVC family.
