I just got back from the Boston DISmeet (aka Jerry aka
), and it sure was a whole heck of a lot of fun! There were over 50 people in attendance, and four New England States were represented! The weather was beautiful, and a fun time was had by all!
We started our meet at Faneuil Hall and the Aquarium, where we saw 7 of the 15 Mickey statues (the rest are out for repair due to vandalism). We had our group picture taken with the Lobster Mickey Statue! I'm sure that someone will post a picture of that soon
After visiting the Mickey statues, we started walking to the Corner Mall Food Court for lunch! Along the way, we were treated to some free potato chips from the unofficial Jerry Sponsor, Lays!
After lunch, we started walking towards the Swan Boats, along the way, NHAnn and I gave a capering demonstration on Boston Common. Surprisingly, no one joined in. Even more surprisingly, no one called the cops.
We then took a spin out on the Swan Boats, and confused many folks by calling across the pond to the other boat of DISers "Do you have Jerry? Is Jerry with you?"
Oh, and Edcrbnsoul was nice enough to have some t-shirts made up for the meet! Please contact him if you would like a DISmeet Boston commerative t-shirt. They are the must have fashion item of the year!
Thanks to everyone who came to the meet! It's great to put faces to the names (and smilies).
