Sounds like she might be related to my stupid dog! Fussy about the wet grass, and Jessie also does that staring thing like she can WILL the door to open. Thankfully, she will finally either yip or come dance to get our attention before she pees on the carpet. (Usually.)
I have never seen an animal who can sleep as much as a beagle! She makes a huge production of getting all the sofa pillows arranged just right before she drapes herself over them for her naps.
Black and white is one of the Beagle standard colors. Actually, the tri-color ones start as black and white puppies, and the brown develops later! Mine also has speckles on her legs, and freckles on her tummy.
And I know those Wookie noises! Jessie will sometimes have whole conversations with me in Wookie-speak. She'll stare intently at me and say something (it almost sounds like she's chewing the noises), and I'll reply, and then she'll say something else... we can go back and forth for several minutes before she wanders off or decides it's nap time again.
Poor thing!
This is mine on the day we adopted her from the Humane Society. She was picked up as a stray. You can see that she's very stressed about the new surroundings:
