Hello, Well we have had a hetic extended weekend My youngest Daughter was admitted on Saturday to Hospital I will never forget the drive in there thinking the worst,
Anyway we are now home , discharged yesterday and she has a thing called Henoch-Schonlein-puppura HSP for short.
I honestly did not know what to do On Saturday when they started talking about white cells, red cell attacking each other, I honestly thought they were going to say The C word. Luckily for us it was not but it really brought home how precious our children are and also what an amazing job all the nurses and doctors are who looked after us.
Anyway hopefully everything will be ok and we just have to be vigilent as it can attack the kidneys resulting in Renal Problems.
We are A positive family so were not going to go there.
Anyway I suppose I just wanted to say to enjoy yourselfs and grasp every moment with your familys as they are so precious, we are lucky I know there are familys that have to deal every day with much worse.
Just have to say as well that the best medicine was talking with other familys about our Disney Holidays!!! I think we converted a few and It definately brought smiles to all our faces,
Take Care and thanks for Listining

Just seen your post, hope you're all ok. I know that your disney trip will go a long way to making you all feel better.

OH you have my sympathies, my cousin's little boy, 5, had this a couple of months ago, they rushed him into hospital and were testing for meningitis due to severe blood rashing on his ankles and feet. They got to the point of doing a lumbar puncture when they found what it was.

You're absolutely right about living each day to the full, and as many have said before it's not the material things our precious kids remember, its the fun times spent together, whether it be in WDW or at just at home.

Hope your DD has a good recovery,

Lynn
