My biggest objections to homosexual marriage are these:

1. Dont call it marriage. Marriage is something setup by God as a union between one man and one woman. Though I still oppose them, I could see more of a case for civil unions. Regardless of what I think, within 5 years I think you will see this happen which leads me to my next point:
2. There are already others knocking on the door trying to get their preferences normalized and legalized. I know people call it a straw man but polygamist groups are now actively trying to get their unions recognized as well. Not to mention 3 person bisexual unions. Who knows where this path will lead us. Will marriage have any restraints left at all. Marriage is discrimnatory by nature and regulated by the state. Siblings cant marry. You have to be a certain age, etc. Once homosexual marriages are granted and legalized in all 50 states, other fringe groups will rise up and demand their rights as well. Ageism? Why cant I marry when I am 13? WHy cant I marry my siblling, we are in love? Where does it end? We as a society do not want a free for all in marriage with no restraints at all

Ok you know if you actually READ that bible you are always thumping (all of it not just the parts you want to use to make a point!) You would see that polygamy was very socialy acceptable at the time of the writting of that bible and that EVERY man had more than one wife. Also that those wives were not always adults.

Homosexuality is biologically a form of natural deselection. It does not mean that homosexuals are wrong. It doesn't mean that we should try to "retrain them." It just is.

This biological fact does not mean that homosexuality doesn't serve a valuable biological function: perhaps this is population control, perhaps it's protection of the species. I don't know.

The fact that we've found work-around solutions like IVF, Art. Insem., and surrogacy doesn't change the biology either.

The bottom line is, in your attempts to support your position, make sure you don't become the same type of zealot that you are trying to rail against.

Let me put it to you this way, if we all were hetero and reproducing like rabbits, we would run into a population crisis. If biology programs some beings to like members of the same sex, biology may be trying to keep the reproduction rate lower. That is all I am saying. It's not a choice. It's biological. It just is.

But please, by all means, be obnoxious to those who have ZERO problem with homosexuality and who have actively campaigned and argued for equal treatment of all, regardless of sexual orientation. That type of behavior will certainly help the cause.
