Hertz- Everything is mostly pay now and save???

I needed to change my dates for an April trip, I went to modify my ressie and couldn't because the "discount wasn't available" OK. I get it. Now when I go to makes a new ressie all but the top tier class of cars are pay now. What the heck. I don't want to pre-pay. I have another ressie for another airport and same thing virtually everything is pre-pay. Has anyone else noticed this? What have you been doing? Waiting until closer to your trip to book? Thoughts on a sweet spot for booking?

I just booked earlier this week and didn't have a problem.

I just did a random MCO booking for April. Every option gives me a "pay now" or "pay later"


When I try to login and do the same search, I get the following:

And it doesn't indicate I'm logged in.

When I click on a vehicle, I eventually get to the payment page and there's an option to "pay later"


But it still doesn't show me as logged in.

Their web page has always seemed glitchy to me. I would give it a couple hours and try again, or call them if time is of an issue.

I use Hertz for work. I've never prepaid.
