I've rented from HRH twice in the last 2 years. The concierge at HRH calls Portofino and the Hertz guy brings the car over, takes you back to PB to fill out paperwork. During certain hours, they have to take a shuttle of some sort and will reimburse. First time all was well. Last time the Hertz guy was AWOL for almost 2 hours when we tried to return the car (return to Portofino and you're given a ride back to HRH). The concierge at the hotel kept calling & paging him, concierge at PB called HERTZ directly, they paged & called him. He was at Royal Pacific talking with his girlfriend & her friends. Hopefully that has improved. Also last time the car we got was VERY dirty inside and out.And he had 'errands' to run at other places near Universal and took the 5 of us (3 in front inc him - 3 in back) and all our luggage- 5 people for 2 weeks! (some being held on laps) with him for over 40 min while he ran errands.
Rental at HRH/PB/RPH tends to be more expensive than from other Hertz locations, but it is convenient.
I wrote a letter to Hertz after this one and they sent me a $50 voucher toward another rental ( our rental was over $700)
