Looks like 2 main companies now
Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty & Advantage Group
against Avis Budget Group

Sorry I never posted they were onsite at Easter when we were there. Not offsite anymore. They are with all the others in the parking lots.

We always use Hertz, and after my recent trip to the Southwest US had a really good experience with them.
Firstly we got delayed 6 days by the volcano, and they extended the rental with the same all-inclusive cover at the original discounted rate no problem.
Then, and I don't know if this is a LAX-only thing or whether they're doing this in more locations, when we returned the car (with loads of luggage and 2 kids) a Hertz man approached us and offered to drive us in the car with luggage to the airport departures drop-off. This was great - we didn't have to lug everything onto the bus and wait.
According to the guy who took us it was a new service they were trying where they looked for people with lots of luggage/kids/disabled whatever and offered to help. Saved us a lot of hassle

August will be my 1st experience with them but my Brother has used them for years and had very good service from them. Always been a bit expensive for me until now.
