Hersey's Commercial - have you seen it?

Has anyone seen the Hersey's commerical - which has in small print across the bottom "Enjoy in Moderation" ???

Has there been a rash of people over dosing on chocolate and driving around town - causing chaos and accidents?? People getting into mini-mart fights, with other patron's when someone downs a King Size Hersey Bar? WTH?

Enjoy in Moderation. Like the Bailey's commericals. "Enjoy in Moderation"

Anyone remember "Demolition Man" where: "Salt, Sugar, Tobacco....." were all illegal?

Someone mention circumcision in a previous thread being the next new evil - might be chocolate.

Did you? See - it was all lovey dovey - chocolate is wonderful....Hersey's is Happiness. It wasnt sarcastic or looking to be humorous - IMO.

And then in very subtle lettering, and coloring "Enjoy in Moderation"

Lemme see if I can find it.

I just didnt see it as being humorous. Maybe I watched it wrong.

Well my son (who is only 11 but gets his witty sarcasm from his mother ) said yesterday, after I stole a chunk of his King Size Hershey w/ almond bar - and then his brother called for me to pick him up from the video store....

"You dont plan on driving, do you?!?!"

At first I was confused... "well, yeah... "

"You just had a BIG piece of chocolate!!!" and he shook his head in his shame for me:

Oh I can totally see this being serious. It will stop the lawsuits before they start. McDs should (and probably will) do something similar. We need to be warned about everything now.

I saw those too but I just thought it was a tongue in cheek type of thing.

Maybe I'm just not watching the commercial correctly or something. It's been awhile since I've seen one. I just remember it being put on the screen and I thought it was funny.

Ummmm ... uh ... sorry ... I am the cause of all of this. I OD'd on Hershey kisses and, well, let's just say that I did all the above things and then some. It wasn't pretty and thus the cause for the "Enjoy in Moderation" addition to the commercial. Sorry, folks. I'll try to behave the next time I get my hands on chocolate!
