1. That Epcot closes at 9pm during F&W. Then I'm forced to go drink on the Boardwalk ;-)

2. That they don't let Jungle Cruise skippers go off script. I want to hear the good jokes! I say, after dark, go off script (if you can.)

3. That there's no walkway from WL to TTC or Contemporary. Would make that a much more appealing resort if it didn't have to rely on just the dingy to get to MK.

4. There's too many people! Everywhere I turn, there's a full bus, a long line, throngs of people on Main Street waiting for parades or fireworks, and restaurants with no availability. Disney could fix this by not letting anyone in the park except for me.

5. I hate that they don't build any new rides or lands. Except for when they do...then those are just crappy! Even before they're built, I just know they'll be crappy.

6. I hate when they don't refurbish rides and then they break down!

7. I hate when my favorite ride is closed down due to refurbishment!

8. I hate that all the counter service food is the same everywhere! I need some variety in my meals for all those days at the parks. And don't mention Epcot's World Showcase, either! I don't want any of their weird foreign food... I just want a good hamburger or chicken nuggets, thank you very much!

9. Finally, the people who claim to love DisneyWorld, go there at least once a year and then complain about E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.

I hate that I don't get to go to WDW as often as I'd like. ;)

And number 8!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I completely agree with #4. I think I will start a petition for this. Will anyone sign my petition? :rotfl:

I completely agree with number 4. I just fear it will never get better.

Lol... Too funny

You forgot : I hate all those Disney apologists who just have fun and refuse to look for imperfections

Be careful using the word "hate" around here; I started a thread last week saying that i hated the WDW resort pools cuz they were too hot for me and referenced an article that stated WDW keeps the pools at a certain temp and you would have thought I slapped Mickey and Minnie right in the mouth. I was told that hate is too strong of a word and that it was just my opinion (which I guess isn't as important as others here. I'm with you on your post though, just warning ya. :)

By the way, I totally agree with numbers 6-8. And I personally hate 'Its a Small World' and 'The Enchanted Tiki Hut', both are just corny and a waste of time to me.

Hey everybody, I didn't use the word HATE....I'm on my way to recovery!!!!

Definition of apologist : An apologist is a person who argues in favor of something unpopular.

So I don't like the way the word is thrown around incorrectly, WDW IS popular, dare I say especially on a Dis Board refusing to look for imperfections does not make one an apologist

On dictionary.com it says that an apologist is :
" person who makes a defense in speech or writing of a belief, idea, etc. "

Could anything be vaguer? Nothing is said about popularity.

There are people who will defend Stitch and such places simply because Disney is involved. There are some who defend Nescafe coffee perhaps because Disney has had it for such a long time. It is impossible to have a reasonable discussion about Disney with some people and that includes some on both sides IMO.

I think your all crazy I love everything in Disney. When my favorite ride is closed I stand there and look at it and think man I love that ride I wish it was open. I love to see the crowded buses because I rent a car and I think to myself that's less people driving and less chances of hitting them on the parking lot. I even love you guys who are complaining about Disney. Do you all feel the love.

Agree with you and I think we both just proved my point that the word is
thrown out here far too often and many times misused, we both looked in different dictionary sources and came up with different definitions

I don't see that I proved anything but you can come up with that if you wish. I see the full term of Disney apologist as meaning that some people just won't be rational about the topic and in this case it's about those who defend Disney no matter what. Again, there are those who are of course way too critical too.

Which source did you use?

You see the difference though, right? Most of MichiganDVC's 'rant' is tongue-in-cheek. Yours, referring to bathwater and organisms that might be growing in 82 degree water - despite chemicals used to keep pools clean - was a complaint.

If I could "like" a post on this forum, this would be it. This whole thread is full of so much win. Thanks for the laughs!!! :)

vocabulary.com:

Apologists tend to be seen in a negative light, as defensive people who make excuses. The word apologist comes from the Greek word apologia, meaning "speaking in defense." Not all apologists are bad news; some just defend an unpopular idea. Even though apologist is similar to apology, don't confuse them — if you make an apology you're admitting to being wrong. But if you're an apologist, you justify your belief or action, and would do it all again!
