Here's what a little PIXIE DUST can do ....... a dining review+pics COMPLETED!!!!!

I don't think the Wave would be to mine and DBF's liking, but that pork looks AMAZING!
I have been looking forward to your Dessert Party review! Hope you took lots of pictures:goodvibes I'm seriously hoping they make this a permanent thing and DBF and I can do it next August!

When we first had a look at the menu of the Wave we were not sure if we would like it either, but once tried, it REALLY was wonderful, food, service, ambience and all.
And the photos from the dessert party are coming right up.

Yum, loving the look of the sustainable fish at the Wave and the desserts....we've never been, so this is a definite maybe now!

can't believe how empty it is during free dining!

That fish was really yum! Really well spiced and moist, and it went so amazingly well with the beans.
We were amazed to see a restaurant that close to the MK so empty during lunch at free dining. They had signs that there were no ADRs to have in the MK though!

Those Wave desserts look yummy :)

These Wave desserts are a :thumbsup2

........... and still day 21, Sept 4

Hallowishes Dessert Party

After we had finished our lunch we went back to Old Key West to relax a little before we headed out again for MNSSHP.

We arrived around 6pm and had to enter through special turnstiles to the right where we were greeted by CMs who handed out wristbands and Trick or Treatbags. All the CMs were dressed accordingly and by seven they really "cleaned" out the place. We went on some rides and enjoyed the decorations.
About 45 minutes before the party we got in line, because I wanted to make photos and we knew we had to be early and in line before the mad rush.

And this is (part of) what we saw when we entered. We did not take photos of everything, because a lot of things were just the same as during the regular parties.

After the party we went to see the second parade.

We had some photos taken in some frightful places like this one.

Trick or Treating was a fun event and Mickey ended up with LOTS of sweets!

Would we do the Dessert Party again?
Yes, we would do it again on a regular night with no special party going on. The desserts were nice, lots to try and small portions so you CAN actually sample lots of them.
I would not do it again on MNSSHP (or other special event) Party night. We found that it took a lot of time out of the party time and even though the location has a nice view of the castle, I really prefer fireworks from Main Street, as all the fireworks go off right above the castle and not slightly to the right of it.

Next up - breakfast at Wolfgang Puck's Express (yes again! :lmao:)

Oh wow I love how they added a Halloween theme to some of the desserts, they all look so yummy. I really hope they extend this to next year.

Love your candy haul, Mickey looks like he doesn't know where to start!

Love your Dessert Party pics! We did the dessert party a couple weeks ago on a non-party night. I would agree with you...it would take too much time away from the party, and you'd be paying for both. But I too would do the dessert party again if they still have it. We really enjoyed it!!

Thanks for all the great posts, pics and tips in your report...I've really been enjoying it!

Between you and Nicki, the Wave is definitely on our must try list for our next visit. And those desserts at the Party look absolutely yummy.

I was really surprised at how empty the Wave was when we dined there in April. It honestly was the only restaurant that didn't have a wait which was fortunate for us but unfortunate for those who haven't tried it! Yummy, healthy, unique, and a nice place to eat! My husband and my kids loved it too so it was a winner all around. I like to see pictures of it and your salad looks FABULOUS!!!

WOW about the Wave being soo empty!!

By the looks and sound of your food, it seems like that place would always be full :confused3

We're going there next month and looking forward to hopefully no crowds! :cool1:

Keep bringing on the food! :worship:

great updates. Love the dessert pictures.

Thank you! :goodvibes

I'd love to do another Dessert Party next August too! Mickey was really happy with his candy loot! So he went and got a second helping a week later! :rotfl2:

I could not agree more with you on the Wave, what a wonderful restaurant and so "overlooked". But then WE will always get a reservation if others don't want to go there. ;)

It does get crowded in the evening, but we were stunned at HOW empty it was for lunch! I really hope you will like the Wave as much as we do!

:cool1: Yup...I absolutely think we are going to be at CSR at the exact time! How cool.

Yeah! Maybe we will even run into each other! :flower3:

Day 22, Sept 5

Breakfast at Wolfgang Puck's Express

We decided to sleep in and head over to Wolfgang Puck's Express for Breakfast at around 10am.

We both got a bottled drink, orange juice for me and a "berry" juice for Tom and he had some coffee, while I opted for the Earl Grey Tea.

I surprised myself and ordered the Crispy Cornflake French Toast - served with seasonal fruit, instead of the Breakfast Pizza. Boy that was a HUGE serving. It was hard to find room on the plate to cut into it. Crisp Cornflakes coating three soft slices of French Toast. The strawberries and banana were ripe and flavourful and the maple syrup that was served with it was really nice, otherwise the cornflaked toast would have been a bit on the dry side. Needless to say I had to give up halfway through - this is just too much for one person!

Tom went with his favourite, Wolfgang's Breakfast Pocket - Scrambled eggs, peppers, Niman Ranch Bacon, onions, mushrooms, mozzarella and cheddar cheese baked into Wolfgang's pizza dough. He loves this for breakfast and I have to admit it IS really good. The potatoes are crisp and well spiced and go really well with the Pocket.

Once we had finished our breakfast we went to one of the Disney Outlet Stores to do some shopping and "burn" some of those calories. ;)

So what did we actually cost Disney?
WPE = $ 30,80
6 CS credits = $ 151 (16 CS credits remain)
8 TS credits = $ 274,40 (16 TS credits remain)
2 snack credits = $ 7,00 (22 snack credits remain)
all in all = $ 463,20
(only accounting for the things covered by the DDP!! Not covering any items purchased OOP)

Next up - lunch at Cookes of Dublin

:santa:Don't forget to visit the Christmas Countdown Calendar!:santa:
