Here's the thread to post requests for pre-cruise postcards for children

Hi! I was wondering if my 7 year old son could get a postcard from any disney character. We are cruising on the Magic on March 20. Thanks!!!!!

I'm taking my three children on the 4/17/04 Magic sailing. I'd really appreciate it if someone can send them a postcard. I try to do a little surprise for each of our Disney trips, and this would be a great one for the cruise. Thanks!

What an awsome idea! Putting together a cruise journal/photo/scrapbook for our Mar 27th Magic cruise (7nt), and that would be so neat in it! And although my kids are a little older they would get such a kick out of it! Esp. my daughter! Never too old for the magic
Also, I will pick up some on my cruise so that I may return the favor.

For those of you who have unselfishly volunteered to bring more joy to the lives of kids who are eagerly awaiting an upcoming cruise...a big THANKS from us parents!

For those of you who volunteered to do this, PM'ed me for my DDs' address, and didn't follow through with the request -

I realize that this is strictly voluntary, without compensation and directly from the heart for those who do send the cards to complete strangers. But, I refuse to let this get me down because my cruise starts in less than a week and the girls are looking forward to this with or without getting the cards!!!

Thanks so much to Verandah Man and helpers!!! My kids got their postcard from Mickey and they are sooooo excited!!!! My ds even told me I would have to start our cruise scrapbook early now that I had something to put in it! lol

For jbix00, I'm not sure who you sent your info to, but I just went through my whole list of names and did not fine your request on any of my pages. If you send me your info, names and address, I can have a postcard out in the mail this afternoon.

We are cruising on the 7day western Magic on January 15, 2005 and would love a postcard to surprise the boys with. They do not know we are going! We have three sons ages 4, 6 & 8. They love all characters but especially Capatin Hook!! We are giving them the cruise for Christmas so I will save the postcard until then!!

Just want to say thank you to Verandah Man!!!! My ds(6) received his post card yesterday. Boy was he excited. He couldn't believe that he had mail!!!! Then when he realized who it was from, he could hardly contain himself. He had to read every word to us, without any help, numerous times, till he had the card practically memorized. As we were getting ready for bed last night, he asked, "Can I please sleep with my card from Mickey and the gang"!!!!! I wanted to cry, it was so precious. Just wanted Verandah Man to know how important a postcard is to a six year old. Thank you for keepin the magic of disney alive for him, and me as well.

Thanks to Verandah Man from me aswell - my two boys received their postcard from Mickey & The Gang and were really thrilled with it. They were already pretty excited about the cruise but this has made it that little bit more real for them and I really appreciate it.

We are traveling with another family on the 8/22 Wonder cruise and would love to have a postcard sent to their DD6. She is a sweetheart - been in and out of the hospital during the past couple years (sickle cell) and is one tough trooper.

I would love for my children to receive postcards before we go on our May 6th cruise. I have a DD that's 5 and a DS that's 3. This is a great way to start the magic before the cruise.
