Thank you so much for the postcard from Mickey and Goofy to my ds Brandon!! He was so excited to get it today (even helped me out...i've been sick this week...and to see him so excited about the postcard was great!!) He was so excited that mickey and goofy knew about the date change for our cruise!! He even suggested that we pull out the DCL Travel Channel special we have on tape to watch tonight!!

Just back from the ship...mailed out some requested postcards and bought 8 extras that can be mailed Easter weekend if anyone wants a postcard with a genuine Castaway Cay stamp and postmark. Just remember, they can take up to two months to arrive from the Bahamas. PM me if you're sailing after early June and would like us to send one in April.
We're planning to pick up a batch of cards on every trip so I can address them in advance and bring them on each cruise. We are sailing Easter weekend, the end of Memorial Day week, the weekend after Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekend, and Christmas weekend, so we'll be able to mail a batch every few weeks.

Andy,

Hannah got her postcard yesterday, and she was SOOO excited! She read it out loud to me and was just thrilled. She even ran to get her autograph book and confirmed that the signatures were DEFINITELY Mickey and Minnie's! The postcard now holds a place of honor on her special bulletin board. Thank you for making her day!

You know I have thought and thought about this thread and I had to say or add that Andy you are a very special person to do
much for so many - I read about the those that receive their cards and I think of my gosh, what a tremedous duty you have taken on with so much love and what smiles you bring to so many - I know what it takes to get a few Key West packets out so I can not even begin to imagine the postcards - I just wanted you to know that you are so appreciated by so many - I believe it is time for Disney to wake up and realized the impact you make in so many lives.
Anyhow thanks my friend tho I know you hear that a lot.

Thanks so much Shirley, I really appreciate your kind words, but I'm just a big kid at heart myself, and I really do enjoy sending these postcards out to the kids (and even some adults). The reports and stories that come back after the postcards are received is what it is all about!!! Don't forget we have some other DIS'ers out there sending postcards and sending in postage stamps, they are to be thanked as well, for all they do, and a special thanks to DCL for supplying hundreds of their postcards for this project!!!

Keep the postcard requests coming!!!

As I arrived home from work today, DD6 came running into the garage yelling, "I got a postcard from Mickey & Minnie". She was so excited, and read what was written on the card. She was a big smile, ear to ear! Then she asked how Mickey knew her address...Hmmm...Disney Magic! Thanks again!

A quick note to say THANK YOU to whomever mailed out the postcard to our 3 yr old DGD. She was (and still is) bouncing off the walls!! She had to take it to preschool and has slept and napped with it everyday!! Too bad we still have such a long wait unti we actually cruise! The postcard was also a surprize to her parents and my daughter cried!!! She is having a difficult pregnancy and this provided a much needed uplifting!!!

I can never begin to express how much this service has meant to our family!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you.

We can hardly wait to return the favor and to make another child experience the Disney JOY. You guys are the BEST!!!

He walks around with the photo album all the time, asking do we remember when we went swimming with the dolphins, ate waffles with goofy, went down the big water slide etc. etc. He would be so happy if Mickey sent him a postcard telling him how he would be glad to see him in May. Thanks

Today my daugher received her postcard from Wendy and was thrilled . Thrilled is an understatement. She was jumping up and down and couldn't wait to call people and tell them that WENDY sent her a postcard and it's got a picture of the ship , etc. etc. Thank you, VerandahMan, for making today so very special in our house. Mary is actually home sick with a head cold and it really made her day! The reaction from her was priceless. Thank you so much for your kindness.
