Dana, University of Phoenix....they do a good amount of advertising here in LA sounds like a good program, reputable enough...

Sharon, it will only be a little time until we have a brief moment to enjoy each other's company! Looking forward to it!

Kimmar! Bought two pounds of bacon at the grocery store today, we'll be making bacon wrapped flank steaks on Wednesday and using the rest just for eating! :thumbsup2

Other folks, from previous LTP games, glad to have you back, can you get some newbies, so I don't have to be??????

Yeah, a good friend of mine is doing their MBA program and absolutely recommended them when I asked her about them. I'm just going for the associate's for now, but I'll eventually get a BA.

Waiting for DH to come back from his mother's. He's bringing home some Roast (rotiserie) Chicken and chips for DS and my dinner. I'm hoping DH is smart enough to pick up some salad for him.

Alison - glad to see you're on the Boards. Yes, not long now till our DisMeet.

You know - I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to catch up with my aunt. I'm planning on spending some of the day and night on the Wednesday at DTD....taking photos! :rotfl:

Do you know which units/subjects you want to cover in the associate?

So Sharon,
What's up with the freaky new thingy in your siggy? I have to go to bed soon because Fran is already there, but we had a hellish two day driving up to the central valley and there was a big rig accident on the grapevine which made our 3.5 hour drive into more than six hours.

Then we found out our loan was approved and Fran wanted to to go the Indian casino near our friends house so we spent a few hours losing a couple hundred dollars but had fun. Blackjack is expensive!

We didn't get home until 10PM last night and didn't actually fall asleep until 3AM ugh!

Yeah..."business" covers a wide spectrum. The basic units you might want to include are things like marketing, basic accounting, something in the HR side of things and probably a unit that talks about International Business or something with an international flavour; if you're planning on branching into hospitality.

If you decide that hospitality isn't for you, then the general marketing/accounting/HR should provide you with the necessary credits to do anything you want.

Obviously that last post was responding to Firefly's description of her degree....hanging on for a few last moments before dropping into the oblivion of not last anymore....

There's a thread on the community board for "Old Fogies". The criteria is anyone over 30 years old can join in and be classed as an Old Fogie. Kimmar's on there too.

The thread just posts anything to do with being old/retro...and Creamed Corn and prunes get mentioned a lot. Anyhoo, someone found a picture of this Mickey pin on eBay and the mouth is made of bacon. On one ear it says "Early Bird Special", which is of course something that the Old Fogies are keen on...:scared1:. Kimmar's decided that it needs to be our mascot. She must have had fun shrinking it down to a size that a headhunter would be proud of...

Oh...and the other one I got from the Photo Board for participating in the Summer Scavenger hunt. I've also got another one from the Photo Board to put in my siggie ...for Winter Scavenger hunt participation; but I thought I'd do that when I take the ticker down. Then I won't feel so bad because I will have something to replace it with. :upsidedow

And congratulations on the loan approval! You must be pleased! I am very happy for you and Fran!

I know it does :) The thing with UoP is that their associates programs tend to be very narrowly sighted, so the classes within the hospitality program look like they're more hospitality-based, not general business-based. But I know I like working in hospitality, so we'll see what happens :)

Me neither. I'm trying to build my post count. Often lurking, rarely posting...
