Well, since you asked......
I finished up my current contract today. I've been project managing a project and we've been in business development phase.
It's been a good assignment. I had a good team and we delivered the requirements definition document, implementation plan and funding requirements about 4 weeks ago (3 weeks ahead of schedule

).
I've been sitting there for the last 4 weeks with NO work and the client was quite happy. We've been trying to get the funding proposal approved by the Chief Finance Officer..it's been working it's way up the chain and it's finally going to get to him...sometime!
But my security and IT access at the client terminates today. So, I've packed up my desk.
If the CFO approves the project for implementation, I go back and I should be there for another year. Problem is the company I work for will not wait indefinitely for the CFO to make up his mind. I figure they have about 1 week's grace before my company will want me to be out at another client and earning more money.
I would prefer to stay on to see the implementation and the client wants me to be there...but somethings can't be helped. They have called my company to let them know; but we'll just have to see how it goes.
